Great customer service for a replacement seat for my Lifetime Kayak

Replaced defective clip under warranty

I lost a part. The customer service was great at helping me get it replaced.

Was a different color than what I ordered, but I still like the product.

Bought two kayaks one for me and one for my wife who has desperately wanted one. Of course we didn't want to spend too much money on something we may not like. However; these kayaks have been worth every penny and then some! You're getting a beginner kayak and that's is just fine with us. Would definitely recommend this item to people. Either pay 25 dollars an hour to rent one from a lake or pay 189 for one and use is for however long you want.

We bought 8 of these last summer. We've used them ALOT and had lots of adventures. We don't regret buying them as they were an affordable option for our family. But someone in the Lifetime design department needs to grow a brain and redesign the seats! We had CONSTANT problems with all 8 kayaks. Serious design flaws. The black strap clips kept coming undone on the water, and falling off during transport. The silver clip that secures the removable seat in place would often come off and be missing after transport. It's virtually impossible to get a hold of someone at lifetime, and they don't have these replacement parts available on their website. So I had to go to some other website and purchase extra seat clips which kept having the same problems. we finally had to resort to zip tying everything together... But then the zip ties would often break on the water. So I had to carry a dry bag with extra zip ties to repair seats every time we went out. We finally resorted to sewing the straps over the clips which made the seats non adjustable, but at least we didn't have to mess with zip ties and clips getting lost and breaking. Would I recommend this to a friend? Probably, but I would tell him how much we hate the seat design, and to be prepared to have that be a constant issue. And the paper thin foam pad you sit on is a joke. Ours ripped off during transport after two or three uses, and are super thin and completely worthless

Just took this kayak out to sly park lake in Pollock Pines and I am so happy with it! Very light and easy to load on suv. Tracks great.
