I opened a big jar, poured it into my meat and tasted it like I always do. It tasted horrible. I then smelled it, and as another reviewer said, I immediately thought the sauce was bad. I checked the date on the jar to see that it wasn't. Had another family member smell it, and they agreed it smelled like it was bad. Had I not poured the whole jar into 2 lbs. of meat that I needed to make lasagna, I would've tossed it all in the trash. Will not buy this new recipe again.

I loved the taste of the sauce. The dish I made tasted delicious. So happy! My family ate it and no one complained. They even went back for seconds and said it tasted better than the other sauce!

I have been using Ragu Traditional several times a week my entire life. I am addicted. However, one day I put my sauce on my spaghetti and took a bite and I tasted pure nastiness. Ragu, you have made a mistake. I'm sure you all were trying to branch out and do new stuff, but your loyal customers want their "TRADITIONAL" Ragu. It was bad enough when you all canceled Ragu Express (I will never get over that), but now Ragu traditional. I will not be buying your product until you bring the old one back. Love you guys, but please bring the old one back before I suffer a breakdown from good Ragu deprivation.

I will buy Ragu again IF you go back to the original recipe for Ragu Traditional and a bunch of people agree with me here. The first thing I noticed was the color was off and I then the taste. I've used it three times and very bland and disappointing which is NOT Ragu. Ragu Old Word Style Traditional has been my go-to sauce for many years and I usually just add a sweet onion. I had to add ketchup to the last batch of spaghetti. Please go back Ragu! Don't be the New Coke!

The ingredients are clean and the sauce comes in a glass bottle. The texture and flavor are outstanding compared to many other sauces I've tried. Without a doubt, Ragu is the best!

I used it on ravioli and then later in the week mixed it with my own sauce to make baked ziti. I will say it's nothing special, but it is convenient to have.

I was going to make spaghetti and I have this type of sauce, Old World Style, Traditional, now with olive oil. They were out of my favorite which is with onion and garlic. It's going in the garbage. I see it barely gets over 3 stars. I know why. I wont even cook noodles because I'm not wasting more money or time. I even tried adding parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. It's just not good.

OK, I don't know who's making decisions over there or why you decided to change the recipe of a product that has been selling for decades but I have to tell you the new flavor is horrible! My mom's spaghetti sauce always had a base of your traditional Ragu. I was having a family gathering and not having Tasted our moms spaghetti sauce from our childhood years in quite some time I decided to make her original recipe. The base of this recipe was your traditional Ragu. With all the recipe as I had many times. Only to my surprise it tasted nothing like it typically taste it. Upon research I found out the reason being is you decided to change your traditional recipe. It taste like a garbage! Please bring the loved original Ragu back. You seriously just took away the biggest chunk of my childhood and love the only positive memories I have.

As I was picking up the jar of Ragu off the store shelf I noticed the label saying "Improved Recipe". That always makes me nervous when I see that on items I have been loyal to for years. After bringing the jar home and trying it I wished I would have left it on the shelf. I also wished I would have pulled out my phone at the store and read the online reviews before buying it. I used it in a recipe I have made for years and it was awful. I have eaten this sauce my entire life- it was so close to my Italian grandmother's recipe. Will not be buying it again. I cannot understand why companies try to fix what is not broken- good way to lose lifelong loyal customers.
