I was so disappointed. I just got the recipe for my since passed away mom mom's meatballs and told my wife that we had to get Ragu because that's what she used. We made the meatballs with love and placed them into the crock pot to simmer in the sauce. I dunked an extra meatball in the ragu to test it and to my dismay, I immediately noticed that something has changed. It is now too sweet and they removed the minced onions. I also saw they added olive oil. I don't understand why companies do this. It was a recipe that lasted generations and now it's a disaster. I'm only hoping I can doctor it up to salvage my Christmas Eve surprise for my family. Bring back the old Ragu!!

My husband and I sat down for a favorite meal of Ragu spaghetti and we couldn't finish our serving. No longer a taste we recognized (and enjoyed) and it seemed to have a lot of garlic to find that fact. I later retrieved the jar from the trash hoping I had purchased a different product. I didn't know ‘now with olive oil' meant it would be unrecognizable. It was our last Ragu purchase. You force me to give a one-star rating.

I have been using the Old World Style sauce flavored with meat for my family for the last twenty years. The changes made to this recipe has made the sauce unpalatable. I use olive oil in my cooking, but not in the large amounts you now put in this sauce. Just cooking with it nauseates me from the overwhelming scent of the olive oil. My children now teenagers never let me use any other sauce on their spaghetti in all these years. However even they no longer wish for me to keep using this new sauce. The taste, the smell and the watery consistency are not to the liking of any of my household members. I am very disappointed in this new take on an old stand-by.

Did Ragu change its recipe? We made spaghetti last night and the taste was totally different. Did not care for it one bit. Maybe we just got a bad batch. We have 2 other jars that we bought last week if they are the same all I can say for RAGU is that we will look at other brands for the first time in 20plus years.

couldn't find the regular kind so tried this. We use regular ragu in everything from pizza sauce to bases for others sauces, but this new one...was horrible. Kids wouldn't eat the pasta sauce. I tried it and it was an odd flavor. I guess we will have to try other kinds to find our replacement. Coke changed there brand and admitted it was a flop and brought back coke classic. I would ask that your do the same. Ragu Classic.

The sauce recipe from before olive oil was added was my autistic wife's last safe food. She cries every day because of it. Our quality of life has declined significantly. It used to be a staple in our house. Now it is a source of emotional turmoil. Terrible

I have been using the Old World Style Traditional sauce for 30+ years on a regular basis and the whole family has loved every bite, until we ate it last night. The spaghetti was ruined. When we checked the label it was made with olive oil. NASTY stuff. This recipe sucks.
