I purchased these burnt ends on Sunday, May 2, 2021. We decided to try them for lunch, Monday the next day, and man oh man am I glad we did. I don't know how you want to heat yours up but I put mine in my Fryer. I heated the Fryer up for 5 minutes, put half the package in (there's a lot in that package) at 400 degrees for only 3 minutes. I used my own sauce even though the sauce that came with them was good I just preferred what I always use. Hubby and I couldn't wait to try them and let me tell you they were so doggone delicious. The Fryer worked great and added a little crunch to the top. I've seen some reviews that stated they weren't good. I don't know if maybe they got a package that was off or not or how they heated them up but you cannot go wrong with these. The smoke flavor was perfect, they were tender and meaty and just awesome. I thought I was going to freeze the other half but after eating these, there is no way they are going to make it to my freezer. I go to Sam's Club a lot and I will definitely purchase these on my next visit. If you like these as much as we did, I advise you to have a stash of these on hand because the way prices are going up on meat and the shortages that are happening, you will be very unhappy if you can't get these. Delicious, smoked burnt ends without all the work. Add some potato salad or baked beans and you've got yourself a fantastic meal!

Too salty!

How in the world could this item be out of stock? Either some buyers of this product got duped like me by the picture on the cover of the Sam's sale brochure, or somebody out there actually loves eating imitation smoke flavored, barbecued FAT! I have consumed some nasty food in my time, but NOTHING can top these "Burnt Ends"! Why Sam, why are you selling something this disgusting? These ends could be used as a "Dare You To Eat It" prop on the show FEAR FACTOR!! This makes nasty taste like a gourmet food item. The fact that you are charging $20.00 for these "gross ends" is outrageous, but to go even further and include that little sugary packet of barbecue sauce as if it's going to make the "hunks of throat choking, fake smoke flavor fat" tastes better! YUCK! No wait, Double YUCK! I'm sorry if I sound so harsh, but come on! I know if you had someone giving out samples of this in your store, this item would not be out of stock. I'm still reeling from consuming it days later. I wanted to lose weight, but not this way! My husband has a very hearty appetite, and there are not too many things that he won't eat. Well guess what? Most of it is still in the fridge waiting to be thrown out! I'm so sorry I wasn't able to taste it before cooking, because I would have taken it back to the store, and gotten my money back. I could have spent that $20.00 on some real food like 4 delicious, rotisserie chickens! Shame on you Sam. Shame on U!

Big fan of burnt ends, excited to see them at my local Sam's Club after reading an online rave review, but I found these entirely unimpressive. Heated them in an air fryer exactly per directions, even removing them a bit early to ensure they did get dried out, and they were still dried out. Every once in a while I hit one that was tender - the hallmark of good burnt ends - but MOST of my 2 lb pack was dry and utterly unforgettable. The meat did have a good smoky flavor, and at first I didn't even bother with the BBQ sauce that was included, because GOOD burnt ends don't really need it. These definitely needed it, though the sauce did little to improve the experience. This is a definite no.

Terrible product. Over 50% of the meat was inedible fat chunks or gristle. Texture of the meat was also strange. Flavor of the meat seems to be a combination of salt and lighter fluid. If this was $10 I would not complain as much, but at nearly $30, this product is an embarassment and should not be sold for human consumption.

Having seen the front page ad on Sam's Club flyer, I was super excited to try this product. It appeared tender and lean in the promo photos. What we experienced was tough meat and so much fat. This was so bad that both my wife and myself failed to finish our meal. We both love BBQ and roasts. This was an embarrassment to both and to Sam's Club. Stay away and if you made the mistake of purchasing this product, contact Member's Mark to request a refund. At the very least, accurate photos need to be used. This is fraudulently misleading.

Fat on brisket is ok. In fact, I suggest it. I've had fat on brisket that was melt in your mouth, no chewing necessary, magic. The best brisket I ever had was at a chain, no less, that served up brisket slices with fat caps on the ends. The taste of that fat still haunts my dreams. So good. However, tough and chewy brisket is disgusting, and that is what this product mostly is. I cooked it in the oven, and it looks super high quality, but the 3rd piece I had was tough and chewy and had an awful texture to it. So awful I had to spit it out. I found that every 2nd or 3rd piece in my bowl was like this. The soft pieces were pretty good- not amazing, but good, but the tough pieces comprised at least half of the bunch, and it ruined all of it. The flavor is okay, nothing out of this world, and the sauce they include is so so. Nothing I would buy again, especially due to the tough chewy pieces that destroy this product. They had no reason to include every part of the brisket and would have a good product had they removed the awful pieces.

I received this product in exchange for my honest review. My husband and I loved this. It smelled incredible and tasted like it had just come out of a smoker. The brisket was super tender and juicy and we both enjoyed with and without the barbecue sauce. It is pricey, so it's not something I will buy regularly, but we will definitely splurge once in a while and pick this up on occasion. I'm giving this 4 stars because of the price, but it's definitely 5 stars as far as taste and quality go.
