I save plastic bottles to store things. I just compared a Hellmann's bottle that we just emptied with one from a few years ago. You have changed bottle materials. I have to tell you that the new black appearing bottle turns me off. I'm going to try some other brands.

I have always used only Hellmans but the last 3 jars I have purchased have not been the same at all. It is thinner and no where near as tasty as it used to be. Since the change I am going to try another brand and I never thought I would ever switch from Hellmans.

I've been a Hellman's fan for 50 years. For the past year I started using Hellman's packets - for convenience. I'd tuck them into a pocket heading to picnics and parties because I hate Miracle Whip so I'd always have trust Hellman's with me. Then I started noticing a cardboard like after-taste and a funny texture lingering on the palate after swallowing. I thought the packets went bad, though there is no date on them and I threw out the box them came in. So I threw them out. Then I opened a fresh bottle of Hellmans. SAME taste and lingering texture! Bottle was fresh, consistency seemed good, I thought it was me. Two weeks later I started noticing a change in the texture of the remaining mayo - it was less dense, not runny as some suggest, but certainly degrading. I did something I rarely do - discarded the bottle before I reached the bottom - it was just getting weird a month after opening (and I like mine cold, so its always refrigerated). I started Googling around and there are MANY people complaining of the same issues (though more complaining about soupiness which I can't say I've experienced - or not as badly anyway as texture did change). This never happened in the years I've been using the product - going to start seeking alternatives.

As you can see from the picture, I am almost out of my mayonnaise. This stuff is the real deal. I love this brand because it does not have a sweet or sour taste to it. Just a very clean egg taste with a creamy base. Overall it is my go to mayo to use in a variety of dishes. Today I made a quick ham salad from my New Years ham. It is perfect! Very creamy and smooth, but light enough for a snack. Tomorrow I may use this on a sandwich or make a macaroni salad. No matter the dish, this is my preferred mayo!

After 50 years you changed the recipe. Why did you think we wouldn't notice? That is such an insult to people like me who've been a loyal consumer for all of our lives. You didn't just change the recipe a little bit, you changed it a lot. It's awful. Today I made the same seven layer salad that I have made for my friend's birthday for the past 10 years and it tastes horrible. And don't tell me I added too much sugar or whatever because I only use a layer of straight Hellman's REAL Mayonnaise. At least when Coca-Cola introduced new Coke, they told us so, admitted their mistake and went back to the OG formula. But you just tried change it and think we wouldn't notice. What an insult to the consumer. "Cage free?" Do you really think anybody believes that? It's time to fire the new product developers and marketing team who thought this was a good idea.

Hellman's was always my go to mayo, taste and texture were perfect but the last two jars I purchased were thin and had a sort of rancid taste. First jar I threw away thinking it had spoiled then when I got a 2nd jar that tasted just as bad I realized it was the mayo, I google'd it and found out that the company actually changed the recipe. So, bye bye Hellman's and hello Duke's. Hard to understand why they would change something that was so great for so many years, but who am I to say.

The individual packet OMG I have a complaint about about those little packages of mayonnaise that you get from certain places the Hellmann's package. They are so hard to open. It's the worst design ever ,today. I ripped one open and it squirted mayonnaise everywhere because I had to rip it open with my teeth.  You can't get it open otherwise. 

I've been using Hellmanns mayonnaise my whole life. It's the only mayo that was ever allowed in the fridge. I have noticed lately that something has obviously been changed it doesn't taste the same! I thought it may have just been a bad batch or something so I purchased another jar and had the same problem. After a couple days in the fridge it tastes terrible! It also had almost a soupy thin consistency to it. Please whatever you have changed change it back! I completly agree with the other reviews here that it's not the same. I hate to say it but until it gets changed back I will not be buying another jar. I hate to say that after over 50 years of using nothing else but Hellmanns

Used to be my favorite (albeit only) mayo that I'd use. I was looking forward to enjoying Hellmann's with summer tomatoes and I've been saddened. I've tried two different containers to see if it was just a bad batch. Has the formulation has changed? Are there quality issues? Posted 12 Sept 2018

The world's best mayonnaise just became crap within the past 18 months I have a soy allergy and I have been having hives and fever and breaking out and throat closing from soybean oil allergy why did Hellman's change their recipe without telling people they started using soybean oil
