This product is multi purpose

I am not much of a cling wrap person, could never get it to stick or close so I always used baggies. I needed to wrap big trays for a reception, saw this product & decided to try it & I loved it. Easy to use & stayed closed around the trays. Food was still fresh the next day!!

Press'n Seal: the wonder wrap! :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used Press'n Seal for years and have been teased unmercifully by close friends when they see my bulk-purchase in the pantry. It doesn't bother me; I wish I had a dollar for every roll I have given away to visitors so they can try it themselves. It seals better than any wrap I have ever used, whether I put it on things for the microwave, freezer, refrigerator, or shelf. I have put a sheet on the floor under cat bowls to catch drips. I have put a sheet on the kitchen counter when my toddler granddaughter was eating a snack or a meal so no plate got knocked (or flung) to the floor. So why don't I rate it higher? Well, like others, I'm not a fan of the dispenser; I also wish it was more reusable when you want to remove something from a bowl, for example, and then to reseal it. At the same time, to have such a strong and stretchy wrap these things are going to be minor challenges, and I can live with it. :)

Seals in a flash

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Glad Press & Seal is the best invention! In stead of getting frustrated with regular plastic wrap, Glad Press and Seal stands up to any test. Multi uses: breakfast, lunch, dinner, school lunches. It's quick and easy to use and keeps foods fresher, longer. I'm always excited when I see new patterns available. I couldn't live without it!

if end sticks to roll, you cant use it

When I first started using the product is was great--stuck to paper plates! But the cut edge on my roll got stuck to the roll itself and it is IMPOSSIBLE to get apart and start rolling out again! It was so difficult to deal with in the box (trying to find the cut edge) that I took it out of the box and that was a big mistake because if you try to hold it and unroll it just the slightest pressure on the roll makes it even more stuck together! What a mess! So frustrating! I had to throw it away after only getting to use maybe five times! Too bad it isn't easier to roll out and get a piece to use without it being such a hassle because if you accidentally twist the roll the wrong way and it gets stuck to the roll you are stuck with a useless, worthless, roll of Press'n Seal. Plus it is more expensive than plastic wrap or baggies. I would not recommend wasting your money on this product. Good idea--bad product.

Ironically terribly packaged

The wrap itself is wonderful. The package it comes in is absurdly difficult to use. Did the product manager do any testing at all before putting this sticky wrap in a roll? In small print: don't squeeze the roll. How do you get the roll started? No perforated edges. No visible start line. How exactly do you cut the roll without squeezing it to start the first pull out of the package? Who knows? Have fun wrestling the product off the roll and reinserting the ridiculous plastic ends into the box. Don't buy it unless you enjoy a frustrating sealing experience. Back to Saran Wrap. Signed Not a Masochist.

Used this for years

We have used this for years and loved it. But now, with the plastic tear strip, it is almost impossible to tear the press and seal. Please, please go back to the metal strip. I don't want to purchase this anymore as long as the plastic strip is still part of the features.

Press'n Seal Cutter

I have used this product for years and it is great. But the last box I bought had a terrible cutter. The only way I could use was to cut with scissors and that is too burdensome. I wrap things I put in freezer to help with the seal and it works great. But I am searching for another product now due to the cutter on the box. It is too expensive to waste too much because of the cutter. The cutter popped off first time I used and I tried to fasten it back but it came off again. It was good enough to cut the film anyway. You will lose sales if you you don't fix this. Would not recommend with the current cutter. Definitely would if you fix this problem.

Even works for painting projects!

Press'n seal makes a great paint tray liner! I have loved this product for a long time for its ability to seal extremely well. But I just realized it is also great for painting! I have been lining my paint tray with it and when I am finished I just pull it out and have almost no clean up. So much cheaper than buying those tray liners! I also seal my paint with press'n seal when I have to take breaks or overnight and my paint stays really fresh. Between this and putting my rollers in zip loc bags to stay fresh during breaks I am avoiding a lot of yucky paint clean up.

Great wrap, but . . .

I love Glad Press and Seal, but someone got the not so bright idea of doing away with the metal cutting edge. This makes it very difficult to use! I still use it, but become very frustrated by the difficulty of cutting a piece to use. A lot of mental cursing ensues. Please put the metal edge back!

GLAD PRESS 'NSEAL

I, wanted to let you know that the last few press nsea, preferated strip that tears the plastic, it either comes off completely or bends at either end of stripend where, after several ueses, I end up having to use scissors to cut and it's such an inconvenience. As you know. Due to the deal on the plastic itself, most times I spend unsticking it...I really love this product but that has to change. Thank you Hopeful Customer
