This rack is incredibly large! Even reading the dimensions, I was surprised in a very good way! My husband was able to put it together by himself, but it did take him 2 hours. Now I get to enjoyed the fruits of his labor. Since this is just the tower itself, we used a bar and weights that we already had at home. This is set up for the thicker, Olympic sized bell and weights. There are so many high points, but my favorites are the pieces to work with fitness bands and the landmine piece which dont always appear on the racks. My husbands favorites are the pull up/chin up bars and the adjustable self spotters. This equipment was exactly what we were missing. I have not been to the gym in over 1 year and needed this equipment to really feel like our home gym was complete. This power rack has been the perfect addition to my home garage gym!! With the size, I needed an additional person to help with assembly! We used the barbell we already had and it worked great! I am trying to put together a home gym in my garage. So far this pro form carbon rack xl has been a great starter for that. Its very easy to assemble, it took me between 30 minutes to an hour to get it completely put together and all the bolts tightened. The assembly instructions are to the point and easy to ready, so there is no guessing what goes where. I did need an extra set of hands for the top bolts while I held pieces in place. Its a good, sturdy, heavy duty rack

I've had this for almost two weeks and it has been a great addition to my small home gym setup. As I unpacked I realized, it's not bad, they just use a ton of protective packing!! So, without the manual. I just laid out the pieces where though they would go. From here, I assembled this as a 1 man team and timed myself. It took an hour and 10 minutes! It would be easier with a 2nd person for a few parts but it's that easy! The quality is off the charts! It looks good and you can tell it's just a high quality piece that feels very well made. This is gym quality! I have mine in the garage and it works perfect there. I love the 6 different bars to store the weights. The chin up/ pull up bat is an awesome feature too! The nice part of this is the base of the legs. You have an option to anchor them down, but they make a wide plate for stability and it does not feel like it's going move at all. my husband weighs 250 felt stable the whole time and loved it too! I haven't tried the resistance bands on this yet. But what a great feature to add in that there is actually a place to add the bands and stay safe doing it. High quality at a great price! The Pro Form Carbon Rack XL is a nice workout rack. I enjoy the size of the rack. It doesn't take up unnecessary room I think other racks do. Putting it together is fairly easy. I had to have my wife help with the top bolts. I put it together how it would be standing. It is a very sturdy rack. I've have no issues with rocking or any movement during workouts. This rack is easy for me to move myself if I have to make room in the garage for any reason over all. I'm very happy with this rack. Pro-Form Carbon Strength Power Rack XL Review: (Walmart) Overall: 3.5 Stars Weight Rests (weight rests) 1.5 stars: Pros: Welding- The welding on the weight rests looked excellent for a China manufactured product. Cons: Padding- The weight rests are bare they have no padding. This is ok, if you are using a beater bar. If you are using a more pristine bar there could be consequence hitting your bar on direct metal. Lip- the weight rest lip is quite large. *Can be used with any standard Olympic weightlifting bar* It looks like you can upgrade the J cups (weight rests) to have plastic bushings (sold separately) Welding/Cuts of the rack 4.75 stars: The welding as a whole was excellent. No splotches, no extra marks, etc. The frame was spot on everything, the only imperfection, that I was able to see, was the stabilizers did have all around welds like other parts of the rack and one had more of a lip than the other on a weld. The hole cuts were excellent they are smooth and allow the weight rests and other accessories with the rack to fit adequately and be used as expected. Prosthetically Pleasing 5 stars: The coating and look of the rack were great! I saw no scratches in the paint, the rack was eye catching and pleasing. Stability 5 stars: For a squat rack in this price range, it has excellent stability. I love that there are holes in the feet to allow for the squat rack to be bolted down (does not come with concrete screws). Storage 5 stars: The storage is excellent. There are 6 pegs available for storing weight and each peg has the capability of holding 150 pounds (according the manual) Pull-up bar 5 stars: I have all pros for the pull-up bar! Padding- the padding is great. It is hard enough to create a firm grip and soft enough that it doesn't kill your hands. Variations- the pull-up bar allows for many different variations of pulls-ups and chin-ups. Sturdy: when performing pull-ups, the rack is sturdy Rack depth: there is enough rack depth to allow for kip ups and other variations of leg driven pull ups to occur (I am 63). Height: the height is excellent. It allows individuals that are taller than 6 to feel comfortable doing pull-ups. Weight capacity: the weight capacity of the of the pull-up bar is 300 lbs. (according to the manual)) Landmine: 4 stars The landmine functions properly and allows for exercises to be smooth. I used up to 135 pounds of weight on the landmine and it worked exceptionally well. Spotter arms: 5 stars I liked how they provided plastic on their spotter arms to help prevent damage. The spotter arms fit properly and function properly. Band Pins: 4 stars No slip- did not let bands lip out of the pin. Rotation- it allows some rotation which is beneficial for some exercises.
