Installed on a 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS. Looked for a good performing tire that will not break the bank. The G-Max AS-05 fit the bill nicely.  Really responsive, providing great traction, in both dry and wet conditions (wet traction is awesome). They also provide a comfortable ride, especially important for low profile tires. Being an AS tire is also provides long thread life, backed up by warranty. Altogether very nice tire.  My biggest surprise is how quiet these tires are. My problem with the OEM Goodyears was that they generated a huge amount of road noise. After installing the Generals I enjoy a much quieter ride.  I really love these tires and would recommend them.

Just had these installed on my Cadillac and I must say that General hit a home run with these. First thing I did was went to one of my favorite curvy roads to get ""the feel"". Man I was impressed. General tires has certainly earned my loyalty. Today we had a little rain....you know the kind that makes the roads just slick enough for rear wheel drives to smile. I could not get them to break loose. All my buddies keep telling me to shut up about these tires. To be honest, this is my first ever review. Felt like I owed it to everyone out there to share how great they are. Especially for the price. Highly recommended! It would be awesome if General could send me a few decals....(hint hint)

After having no luck with my previous two sets of tires, I finally caved and listened to my friend who told me about these G-MAX AS-05 that he had put on his wives car. I have been nothing but impressed with them so far! The best feature by far is the traction that they gave me this past winter, as note earlier, my previous two sets of tires made winter driving a hassle, but these G-MAX AS-05 made me feel comfortable every time I took the wheel no matter how bad the conditions. The tread life and have both been great as well and my cars fuel economy has improved already making up for the cost of the tires. I will be buying my next set of tires from General thanks to this great product.

Finally installed, first 500 miles and so far great. Was reluctant to purchase new model AS05, had several pairs or AS03's over the years on different cars. Looks like the new model AS05 is just as good and possible better. Wet and dry traction is great, looks great, little to no road noise, very smooth and hard gripping tire. Time will tell on tread life and durability. Cannot attest to snow perfermance. New AS05 is a non-directional tread pattern, as apossed to the directional tread pattern of the AS03 they are replacing. I believe the non-directional tread may, in my opinion grip slightly better?

I was re-introduced to these tires by the Dodge SRT engineers at Chrysler's at Carlisle running them on their Dodge Hellcats on the mini road course. When it came time to replace my OEM Goodyears on my 2016 Dodge Charger R/T Super Track Pack my tire guy recommended them as well so I gave them a shot. The last time I owned Generals was in the 1980's. What an impressive tire for the money! Smooth ride and handling and a rubber compound/tread design that sticks when you push them. I salute the General.  I believe their jingle back in the 1980's was ""sooner or later you'll own General"". Well this is my second set of G-MAX AS 05's and they are wonderful tires. If you do some spirited driving you'll want to give a set of these a shot. You won't regret it.

Needed to replace the tires on my BMW Z3 Roadster and was considering a more expensive tire.  After talking with the salesman, I decided to try the General AS-05. Not only was it a great price, they had a rebate offer to go along with it.  One of the best choices I have made in a long time.  I cannot say enough about how well this tire has preformed.  I have had them for 2-3 months and am thrilled at the way they have preformed on the road.  No mushy feeling, no fishtailing.  When they need replacing I will definitely be getting another set.

I bough s set of these tires in April - 2019 for my son's 2016 VW Jetta. So far we have about 4k miles on them, and I am pleased with their performance. They ride very smooth, good grip, thread wear is decent, overall for the price I would say pretty good buy. They were little noisy at first at certain speed range (midsize around 50 mph or so), but now it seems much quieter. These are made in the US, they were road force balanced and numbers very pretty low (6 - 14 lbs), which is a good thing, no complaints at all. I would recommend these!

2013 Mustang GT with 436 Horsepower does not spin these tires much at all, it just hard launches!  Much more dry traction than 3 years on Michelin Pilot Super sports.  Ride quality is much better than the rock hard super sports because sidewall is a little softer.  Turn in response is not as immediate as the super sports but ultimate cornering grip is very close.  I love my car again after getting rid of the rock hard riding summer tires.  These hook up at all temperatures which make the car a blast 12 months a year instead of just 4! They look better also.

I bought these tires a few months back because of the good price, good reviews and the fact that they had a rebate available at the time.  I didn't have much money so these were the best choice for me.  However, when compared to others from the same category, these tires have a much softer and more complaint ride but still retain a decent amount of stick in the corners.  They also perform admirably in the wet compared to their competition.  If I had to classify these tires, I would say they belong in the high performance category of tires and not in the UHP category.  Really good for a sports sedan at best but not recommended for sports car level feedback and control.  If your looking for a decent tire that performs well in the wet with good grip and a comfortable ride, this tire is fantastic.

When my car has been sitting all night or day, the tires seem to flat spot and the ride is bumpy for a few miles until the flat spot works it's way out. Other than that they are good tires. Traction seems to be really good in the rain (haven't had snow since I bought them) and they have a former sideway than the Michelins I had so they don't seem to roll in curves. Probably not the traction of the Michelins on a track but I don't drive in a track and they give me a more stable feeling in curves at road speeds.
