this a a good design, it is very quiet, you can't hear the compressor, you only hear the fan. i also like how it is safe and secure in the window, no more worries about someone removing the window ac and getting into the house.

I love this unit, it works great! Best part is I got it for a great deal too! Thinking of getting another one and have already recommended it to family, friends, and coworkers.

I bought 2 of these after my friend recommended them and I saw them in action. My electric bill has already dropped even with 100+ degree temps. I live in an older home (built in 1930s) and am always looking for ways to save on my electric bill, and these have helped so much already. I was able to install both of them by myself took about 45 minutes for each one, but very easy to do and set up. Only downside my windowsills are super old and they didn’t work with the things it came with to screw it down/hold it in place, but with a little imagination I was able to secure them down and they have been wonderful. I love how I can use the app to check the temp inside and change it if needed. Super happy with my purchase from pickup to set up.

Great design, easy installation

Quiet, doesn't use much energy.

been using if for about a week now and so far so good. I have it set up in my living room and I have an open kitchen/dining room adjacent to it (no doors) so it's a pretty large area to cool. It cools my living room off quite nicely. however, the kitchen/dining room, not as much. It wasn't that easy to install in my windows. I have an older house with Anderson windows that did not match any of the illustrations provided in either the video or the printed installation guide... but I got it to work, just took me a lot longer than the video implies. overall, I am happy with it. only gave it 4 stars because it didn't cool off my adjacent room as much as I had hoped.

Well designed unit, very quiet. The only small improvements I would make would be to design a kit for those whose only option is horizontal sliding window installation and to possibly also include a flat piece of Lexan to install over the top of the unit to protect the exterior portion from outside damage from rain, snow, falling branches, etc. and I would improve the method of internal moisture removal during dehumidification to avoid internal corrosion of the u-shaped cabinet. These modifications are however easily attainable for most DIY'ers on their own.

Purchased May 2022. Had intermittent problems with the temperature sensor almost immediately but honestly did not want to deal with having to return or repair while it was SO hot out. The "Dry" setting mainly, didn't work at all. I would set it to 70 degrees but it would bring the room down to the low/mid 60's. This summer, If I set cool to 70, it can get up to 73. Setting it to 68 will put the room to 65, there is NO regulating the room temp. Finally called customer service in July. 2 months out of warranty and they said that small units like mine weren't worth the cost of fixing. They reimbursed me 90% of what I paid, which is why I gave the extra star but the fact that they just give your money back vs. making sure you have a quality working unit makes me question buying another Media product ever.

I bought 2 8K U shaped units under Danby brand using same Midea app. Saw this great deal cheaper than my 8K + free Google Nest mini so tell all my relatives about this unit under Midea brand. Until installed and hitting 105F 2 days in the hot summer the 3rd day using these new 12K units, I noticed that the unit can't perform as good as my 8K U shaped. The temperature can't hold as cold as 8K. So I want to make sure there is nothing like plastic films inside the front covers. Then I saw these, not only first new 12K unit, but both units. They shouldn't ship those to Sam's at all. This is bad!!
