Scott Paper Towels are convenient and made with some sustainable practices, but they're still single-use and resource-heavy. Better eco-options include reusable cloths or 100% recycled paper towels.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Scott brand paper products, for a few years now. I find both the paper towels, as well as the toilet paper to be of high-quality and is reliable. A huge selling point for me, of course is the value. I always look at the breakdown of cost per sheet/towel and it always seems to be the most affordable. I took a picture utilizing two different paper towels, to clean up a spill. I then I got two new paper towels and set those on top of where the prior paper towels had been, hoping to show you how much the prior paper towel had absorbed, for a comparison. The paper towel on the left is a store brand and the paper towel on the right is Scott's. I appreciate the fact that these paper towels are 100% recycled from our forests. The packaging is even 100% recyclable, via store drop off. We have to start doing our part to keep more out of the land fills! Overall, I feel as though Scott is producing some quality paper products, my family will continue using.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like how it feels. It's very durable and the price is reasonable. You don't need more than 2 sheets to clean a small mess, so you aren't over using sheets. Very absorbed. I would say it's environmentally friendly. And super sustainable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always used Bounty paper towels so I was excited to try out Scott paper towels. Especially where they say fast absorbing. I used them on the biggest test which is my after dishes water clean up. I make such a mess with water all over my countertop and my backsplash so I always use a paper towel to clean my mess. When I first ripped off the first sheet it felt very thin to me. I definitely didn't think 1 sheet would do the trick. I was right, it took 2 towels to clean up the water mess. The paper towels are nice but they don't have the thick absorbency that I am looking for. Other the that they seem like a fine paper towel.

All paper towels are thinner and less useful than they used to be. 2-ply Scott are like one-ply used to be from other brands. I have recently begun to use cotton/cloth towels to wipe up. So far so good. Adios, I hope, to the paper towel industry, especially to Scott.

Some 56 years ago after a tour as a Marine Corps officer I began my business career by joining Scott Paper Company as a retail salesman. We had a proud sales organization rooted in the quality of our products ... and, particularly in the hard working Scott Towels. I went on to assignments in market research and brand management at the Philadelphia Airport Corporate Headquarters and participated in the development of the Viva brand. Over the decades, my wife managed our household and raised our six children as well as helping raise many of our 19 grandchildren. After leaving Scott in 1965 my consumer products background propelled me to division presidencies for three major corporations. Recently, my wife became temporarily disabled and I took over the chores of running our household. While I was aware that my wife had many years ago started using Bounty and Charmin brands, on my first grocery shopping excursion I bought a 6 roll package of Scott Towels. As I embarked on the household chores using this product I was incredulous that the brand which had been superior in strength, wet strength and absorbency had deteriorated fifty years later to a flimsy sheet which often shredded simply on dispensing from the towel holder and was no more useful in cleaning up than a Kleenex tissue. This is not a product which I could ever have been proud to represent and it is certainly one I would never again purchase.

I was needing paper towels the other day and grabbed the only thing store, Scott's Paper Towles. Thinking this was a name I've known for my 70 years. When I got home, I put a roll on my towel holder. First thing I noticed was how much lighter the roll was than the Members Mark brand we've used for years. I took the last roll of Members Mark Paper Towel and started a comparison. I'm not sure happened to Scott Paper Towel. At one time I remember Scott Towels were one of the better paper towels on the market. When I took a few sheets off the roll I noticed how cheap they were. I took two sheets off from last roll of Members Mark and noticed a major difference quality. When trying to clean up a small moisture spill on the counter, I had to use twice as many of Scott's brand. Overall quality of this product is such that I will not purchase them again. This is a product that is below standards I've found in other brands. I should have bought the stores generic brand, believing it would have been better.
