Disappointed

Our 2014 Accord has 50K miles and the dealer says the tires need to be replaced. The tires have been rotated every oil change so I can't figure out why they didn't last 60K miles as expected. The dealer wants to replace with the same tires but I'm going to shop around.

Thank you for providing a review of our tires. There are many factors that contribute to the wear of your tires. Because driving habits and conditions vary it is impossible to predict the exact life of any set of tires. As for the wear and a recommendation to replace the tires, most dealers will recommend replacement at a measurement of 3/32" - 5/32" of unusable tread remaining, which equals 11% - 33% tread remaining. The usable tread is down to 2/32" of tread remaining, so we recommend obtaining the actual tread depths across the face of the tires in order to confirm if this is just a service recommendation or if replacement is required.

ContiProContact's are Amazing tires

These tires came on my '13 VW CC 4Motion Exec car. I have had them for nearly 4 years. Unbelievable tires. I don't understand the bad reviews either. I have driven some of the best AWD cars, Audi A4, Audi A6 Allroad, VW Passat 4Motion, and a VW Touareg. All had Quattro or 4Motion. All with H rated M+S tires, either from Pirelli or Michelin. These are my first ContiProContacts. These tires are hands down the best tires on any pavement condition, dry/wet/snow/or ice. I am able to drive fast with serious control in all conditions. The people that complain about these tires, it just might be the car, the driver, or the need for an alignment or the PSI, because is not the tires. I live in Colorado and we frequently get snow, ice, hail, and/or boatloads of rain. And possibly all on the same day! Couple that with wind that exceeds 75MPH. The siping that comes on these tires simply rocks. I never slip. I am very confident behind the wheel. One time I even climbed out of a mountain pass covered in a sheet of ice. I drove up it like it was dry. I was there for a conference, so we were all leaving at roughly the same time. The overnight snow became a snowpacked sheet of ice by the time I left. No problem for me. I could stop, start, stop, start, never a slip. Drove around them all, going slow or fast or slow, didn't matter. I went back to help push all kinds of four wheel drive and front wheel drive cars up the hill so they could simply get out. And that was really hard, because we could barely stand on the ice. I felt way safer in the car! If you live or have to drive in inclement weather, these tires on any Audi/VW product with AWD and these ContiProContacts is a very wise choice!!

Very satisfied, looking to purchase second set!

This is the stock tire that came with my 2014 Ford Escape and I like them so well that I am looking to replace the first set with the exact same tires. I have over 55000 miles on the original tires and they have about a third of their tread. When I told my wife we needed new tired, she immediately told me to get the same ones as we currently have. We live in Florida and frequently drive on the interstate in heavy rain. These tires work great in the rain as well as on dry pavement.

Awesome traction when new

Rotated every 10,000 miles (Every oil change for this baby SUV) and the tires wore perfectly evenly. Car currently has 55K miles on it and tires are down to the wear bars. Absolutely awesome traction when new, we drove our Escape down an unplowed road in rural Wisconsin a few winters ago. Snow was higher than the front bumper of the car, and we were throwing it over the windshield at 30-45 MPH. When everything thawed out, we took the Escape down a "minimum maintenance road" in rural Minnesota - and fell through the mud. The muck was up to the axles of the little SUV, but it still managed to pull its way out of the mess with a minimum of fuss (Which went on for a good 2 miles). Note if you try this stunt, be sure to hose out the wheels - parts of the wheels were actually underground for a bit, so they got jammed full of mud and everything shook due to unbalancing the wheels from all the mud and gunk jammed on the inside of the wheel

Wore out too soon

My previous tires lasted 40K miles. Purchased four tires Jan 2017 and was just told when I went in for rotation that after 9K miles that due to excessive wear I needed new tires again! My driving habits have not changed and having to buy new tires again is poor quality. Will never recommend these to anybody!

Absolutely Terrible

Took my car for it's very first oil change, where they rotated my tires. By the second oil change they told me that my tires were bald. I bought the car brand new, nobody drove the car. Tried to contact the warranty department in regards to the tire, and no help! Save your time and your money and do NOT purchase these tires unless you want to waste money!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a product review. Unfortunately, product use, (treadwear), is excluded from the original equipment tire warranty. Once the tires are worn down to 2/32" of tread remaining, the original equipment tire warranty ends; regardless of the time in use or miles driven. Although treadwear is excluded, if you have even treadwear down to 2/32" of tread remaining, with proof of tire rotation on schedule, we may be able to assist you outside the original equipment tire warranty. Excellent Tires

I have purchased ContiProContact tires many times for three cars in the family over the past several years. They perform very well in dry, wet and snow conditions; have a pretty good wear life. The only downsides are they tend to flat spot quickly especially in cold temps which is somewhat annoying and after extended wear they get a little loud even when rotated frequently. Still I am pleased with the tire.

Excellent Tires

I have purchased at least five sets of the ContiProContacts for the three vehicles (E350, CLS550 and BMW 330xi (run flats) over the past 6 years. Really pleased with all aspects of the tire's performance characteristics. The only downside is the tires will flat spot when the vehicles sit idle for a few days, especially in the cold. After a few miles of driving no issues. Will purchase again.

Awesome tire

Replaced my factory Michelins with these on my 2013 Acura TL. What an improvement! Very quiet and excellent grip in the snow and rain. I am now taking turns much faster on wet roads. Tread is still 90% after 15k miles!! The car brakes better too. They also look really aggressive and stand out. I also received a $70 visa credit card as rebate. Excellent buy!!

OK for factory tires

These were the factory tires on my 2012 Subaru Outback. I live in WI and have had these tires since I bought the car. I drive about 65 miles/day round trip and they are fairly quiet. They handle nicely in the snow, sleet, ice and rain. I was told that the all-wheel drive feature creates an uneven wear pattern. Nonetheless, I am at 55,200 miles and need to replace them. The tread in the center of the tire is good, but the outer aspect is poor. Not sure if this is the tire, the all wheel drive or an alignment/balance issue. (In defense of the tire manufacturer, I didn't rotate them like I should have.) I have averaged about 28-31 mpg on the highway with these with winter being the lower & summer being the higher.
