Just the right size for my smaller 12 ft. boat. I use it for control and couldn't be more pleased. 5th Minn Kota that I own.

Good quality construction and performance. Plenty of power for my 14ft aluminum boat for fishing the good spots. Nice and quiet, too. Easy to splice in a quick connect to the battery.

I just it last week. It did very well but to be honest I didn't use full speed often so I'm not sure of the battery drain. But I do like it. it almost seems there are more than 5 speeds forward. Not sure if this is normal are not.

Bought this motor the other day for a large paddle boat my neighbor gave me. Wasn't sure 40lbs was going to be enough but it gets this sucker moving pretty good..
