I echo the recent posts. I too have loved these for years but was unhappily surprised by the recent changes in texture and taste. I will not buy these again unless there is an option to buy the old recipe.

Maybe that's just because sausage and egg bagels are my favorite morning food to begin with, but these tasted greattt with my morning meals!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While MorningStar Farms Veggie Original Sausage Patties are quick and easy to prepare, I'm not fond of the taste and texture. The outside crisped up nicely and they smelled good while cooking. So I was surprised to find the overall texture to be somewhat mushy and mealy. The flavor isn't what I expected either. The seasoning combination seems weirdly sweet to me for breakfast sausage, with an odd aftertaste that I didn't care for. They should be fine broken up and added to other foods, but I didn't enjoy them on their own.

I liked that it can be prepared in multiple ways as well. It is a bit greasy though. The taste goes well as a breakfast side and if you put it on a breakfast sandwich. It is easy and quick to prepare. Has a good firmness to it and stays together nicely. A little dry but has a good flavor. The original flavor has a nice mix of :)e and sweetness. Very subtle and not overpowering at all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first experience with vegetable based sausage and I did not care for the flavor. I would describe the texture as gritty. However, my family and I will try other plant based sausages as healthy alternatives.

I was hoping to also try the maple flavor but will keep looking for that one. I would say this is a great place to start for someone interested in incorporating more plant based foods but isn't sure yet about being fully plant based. I do wish it was also gluten free

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are vegetarians so totally enjoyed eating the Veggie sausage patties. They tastes great are loaded with all healthy ingredients and my kids loved eating it with salad, cheese and bread. we made an awesome vegetarian burger

I didn't tell my husband ( as he doesn't believe in plant based), he had no idea . I have always gotten Morningstar products, I will continue buying these.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't like breakfast sausages as I find them too heavy and greasy for early in the day, but MORNINGSTAR VEGGIE PATTIES were different. Though they give you the mouth feel of meat, they are all veggie. With a nice amount of flavoring you didn't get a bland "veggies burger", but a tasty, satisfying, healthy breakfast food.
