When I got the morning star plant sausages I was disappointed that it contains soy and the taste not nearly as good as other plant sausages I have had. It's was good but I've had a lot better.

You can tell that it is not a real meat sausage but if I were to smother it in sausage gravy, I don't think I would be able to tell at all. The sausage had a similar texture as real meat sausage just a slightly more crumbly yet dense texture. The flavor also was similar. The difference was the zippiness. It was slightly more zippy that regular pork sausage. It is a great meat alternative and cooks and holds up like real meat.

I have been cutting back on meat and these seriously taste better than regular sausage. I made a breakfast sammich for my fiance and he didn't even know it was vegetarian!!! NOW THAT IS A WIN!

I must say it tasted quite tasty. It's easy to warm up and it accomplished its goal as a meat substitute. It was also easy to find in the store. I would definitely get it again.

They were easy to make, but lacked enough flavor for me so I did have to add a good amount of seasoning. I think the product could use more flavor because I do like this plant-based protein addition to my morning!

It's been decades since I've eaten sausage so I can't really compare it. The Morningstar veggie sausage was easy to heat and cook. It adds protein to any meal. I would purchase these in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got to try MorningStar Farms Original Sausage Patties. We cooked them in the oven. I couldn't smell them cooking while they were in but I got a faint hint when we took them out. There were only 6 patties in the bag. They looked like sausage. I cut one in half and could already tell the consistency and texture was softer than what we are used to. I even closed my eyes and bit into one. I can't say it tastes just like sausage, but it's really not bad i you're looking for an alternative. I could see us having this once in a while but we couldn't replace our original sausage with it. But I think after having it a few times, you'd get used to it and it would then be your norm and I think that could be easily done. The original flavor had a peppery kick to it that lingered just a bit. My dog absolutely loved hers and drooled for more. And she's REAL picky for a dog. She's not a beggar and she begged for one of these and then some. Overall, I'd say if you're going the meatless route, I would definitely recommend. It's amazing how close they can get to the sausage taste without pork. My family wants to stick with pork, but give this a shot from time to time. I love that I can eat a great taste in plant-based sausage that is nutritious and flavorful at the same time. I keep a few packages in my freezer now for hearty weekday and weekend breakfasts.
