These "smeat" (fake meat) sausage patties are definitely NOT meat. The texture is strange & mushy. Sometimes you crunch bits of something (nuts, oatmeal??) that is less than appealing. That being said, the flavor is spot-on for breakfast sausage. If you eat it with a fried egg on a toasted english muffin, it's very enjoyable! Definitely not going to give up my normal turkey sausage & turkey bacon, but this was fun to taste-test.

The flavor tastes really great, they smelled so great while cooking them. The MorningStar patties are much healthier. you don't feel weighed down from eating these patties compared to a meat patty. My whole family enjoys these for breakfast.

It did have a little after taste and maybe if it had more :)es, it wouldn't have the after taste. But overall, it was good and I would recommend people to buy it.

The other three of us liked them and could eat more. Not bad for a family of 5! I will consider buying more of these products for those of us like them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved eating this Morningstar plant based sausage product. It is so easy to heat up in the microwave. It is soft and has great texture. More than anything I love having a vegetarian friendly product that also tastes great! I tried the sausage with a breakfast meal that also included waffles and fruit as well as in an egg scramble meal. The product is available in nearly all grocery stores so I was easy to find.

That being said much like many Americans, I'm trying to sustain a more plant-based diet. My experience with meat alternatives has been generally pretty good... except with sausage. The texture never seems to be "right" (often grainy) and it hasn't fulfilled my breakfast needs... until now. The Morningstar sausage didn't taste like "meat" per se but it was flavorful and unlike some other options I was able to cook it to the point it has a nice sear/crunch. Big fan

I was hesitant to try morningstar farms veggie sausage patties, as I love sausage and I can't imagine a veggie based product being just as good, but I was pleasantly surprised. It tasted great and though the texture was slightly different then that of real meat it wasn't off putting. I do like that I can find it at my local grocery store. My husband, who did not know I was serving him veggie sausage, also commented that the new sausage I bought was very tasty. It goes great with eggs!

The color and texture really made it look like real sausage. The size was perfect to fit on English muffins. I love how much protein it packs. I would have never guessed it was plant based if I didn't know otherwise.
