I love this soundbar

Great value and performance. Easy installation, quick source switching, nice LED display. I like automatic source switching over HDMI when turning on external player on powered off TV. Sound presets rock!

SAMSUNG 4.1CH SOUNDBAR

The soundbar was fairly easy to install. So far the sound quality is good. I have to watch to make sure that for some reason the surround sound feature doesn't shut off. The sounds quality doesn't quite match what they exhibit in the store but then I haven't cranked it up to max volume yet, like they do. I thought the rear speakers would be completely wireless but found out they had to be wired to a wireless box located near the speakers. This does eliminate battery or electric power to each speaker unit but you still have the wired connections. Not sure if I like that or not but I can live with it.

Really disappointed with this Samsung product

I have a Samsung Ultra High Definition television, and a Samsung 4K Blu-Ray player. Both of these products are absolutely amazing! I presumed that when I purchased a Soundbar from Samsung, it would also be amazing. Sadly, it has been a disappointment. Hooking up the Soundbar was not an issue. It was actually a no-brainer. After that, the problems were plentiful. Trying to get the system to link with my TV took hours. In fact, trying to get the Soundbar unit to even turn on took a long, long time. When I looked at the "Samsung" signage on the Soundbar itself, I presumed that this was the part of the Soundbar that faces outwardly, (since I was placing this on a shelf under my TV and not mounting it on the wall). I kept pressing the button on the right side of the Soundbar as the manual indicated but I could not see any of the writing indicating the input. I was so frustrated! Thankfully, I turned to YouTube for help. Thankfully, I found a video with a Soundbar not as new as mine, but it definitely showed the illuminated writing on the Soundbar regarding the input. I also saw that the "Samsung" logo was indeed NOT facing outwardly. After that, it was easy! I followed the YouTube video and my Samsung TV quickly paired with the Soundbar and with that, the audio system turned from red to blue and the remote control began to work. The sound isn't too dynamic, and certainly did not give the performance results that I had expected. It is certainly better than the sound from the TV alone, but not much better. In fact, I wish that Samsung would have just raised the price of the TV by as much as the Soundbar cost me and made the TV's sound better in the first place. So, to be frank, I would have a rough time recommending this Soundbar.

Not what I expected

It nothing what I expected, sound and "wireless". Do you're research. It is not wireless at all. The rear speakers and sub have to be connected to the router...with wires. The bar has to connect to the compatible tv with wires also, I you want to avoid another remote. The sound is better than the tv alone and that's about it. This is not worth the money and wouldn't advise anyone to purchase it.

Rear speakers are not too good

I ordered the HW-K470 Soundbar with rear speakers. The rear speakers can be heard from 12 to 18 inches away depending on volume set. When I press the volume control on my remote, my 65 inch Samsung reads the soundbar as a HW-K450. The K450 is 2.1 channel with 300W. The K470 which I ordered is a 4.1 Channel with 460W. Big difference! My Samsung 65 inch is UHDTV 4K, LED. Model UN65JU7100FXZA which is less than one year old. I assume Samsung will read this review and than I will contact them for an exchange of the Soundbar.

Great quality sound, but...

This TV (SUHD-50) and Soundbar (K-470) is an upgrade from our previous Samsung 42" tv with HW-C450 from about six years ago. While I loved the sound and picture quality on that paring, I had a connectivity issue. This isn't a new thing, either. From reading, many other people have the exact same issue. When using the DirectTV Universal remote to turn the system on, it defaults to HDMI, (which I have connected to HDMI ARC) but within a couple seconds the speaker switches to D-IN connection and the screen goes black. Nothing is connected to D-IN, but it keeps going there. I manually switch input back to HDMI. After a few seconds, it switches a second time. I, again, manually switch it back. The only way to avoid this nonsense, apparently, is to turn off the AnyNet feature. But then I have to use two to three remotes to get everything going, and the whole point of buying this as a pair, was to use only one remote. I had hoped this issue would have been resolved, after six years. However, extension research, and hair pulling, apparently it's still an issue. WHY? Why can't I just turn the TV and Soundbar on, and have it stay where I had it last? It keeps wanting to default to a lesser quality connection that isn't even being used. But the TV and Sound quality are great, otherwise.!

Not worth the money

Didn't sound like I think it should have. I returned it, it simply was not worth what I paid for it.
