Lasko is a product definitely worth reviewing. I have two Lasko Weather Shield Box Fans from Walmart; one is a 2008 Model Yr. and the other I bought is a 2011 Model Yr. (See Photo) I bought the second one because I thought the 2008 model was going to quit working eventually, but it is going to be 2014 and my 2008 model is still going strong. They are really good fans except for the plastic feet that come with them. The plastic feet are not worth using. These fans have a really STRONG AIR FLOW and will FALL OVER when turned on. Because of the STRONG AIR FLOW they have to have some kind of a foot-base that is sturdy and durable to keep them from falling over; for them to be long lasting. They have to have regular maintenance of cleaning the motor from dust with an air can, applying oil to the spinner, and keeping the blades clean to keep getting an extra- strong air flow. If your unit is like mine you can make a foot-base for it and make a handle, if the handle should break over time (See Photo). Just make sure that the foot-base extends out in the front 1 inch; and extends out in the back 2 inches; (See Photo) then it won't tip over when you turn the unit on the HIGH setting . You can attach that base to the metal frame, and then to 2-pieces of cut out plywood for each foot on the inside of the fan; screw or bolt the three together (foot to frame to plywood); then hot glue the bolt on the inside so it doesn't come loose. You can do the same for the handle, then this fan is completely durable for back and forth movement from window to floor, room to room, indoors/outdoors where ever, and it wil not tip over if the base is made like the picture. My care and maintenance of my Lasko Fan has helped with the performace of this product and the longevity. I would buy a Lasko fan again and if something was wrong with a Lasko fan that I purchased, I would return it and buy another Lasko. The motors have proven to me to be a quality product in my 2008 Model having been run nearly 24 hours a day until I bought my 2011 Model. So for 4 years my 2008 Model I would say ran at least 20 hours a day for 4 years circulating air, cool in the summer; warm in the winter. I did not open my 2011 model for a year waiting for the 2008 model to quit. Then I needed the other one. They both work better than any household fan I have ever seen. I still don't understand how that 2008 Model could still be running with no problems; I use it every single day, not as much now that I have the other one but, I am really proud of my Lasko Fans. Both fans run like the day that I bought them. I plan on buying a small Lasko Fan with a remote control to help cool my computer in the future.

When we unpacked the fans many of them were old and yellowing, more were broken and some looked like the plastic grills had been melted. I'll be in the store Monday to switch them out with NEW fans. These were purchased for use in a local elementary school and we were given old and damaged product.

It was a week before we were supposed to get a slight heat wave, and I checked my local store for one of these 20 inch box fans. Unfortunately...they weren't brought in and set up until April I was told nicely... That's ok..I could have lived with that! So I come home...I go on line, and locate my fan (Lasko 3723 ) that I would like, and had it ordered and shipped to my house. Amazingly...Walmart shipping policy / service time, and rates were presented..so I opted for the usual 5 to 7 or whatever days to ship this to my house. I ordered this on a afternoon on a Monday I believe...regular ship rate; nothing special..OK Next day...I hear and see a Fedex Truck on my street, and I said,"Oh Boy..someones getting a delivery!" All of a sudden...I hear Ding Dong. I could have fell over from astonishment when I see a box with a fan picture on it. W O W ..Walmart warehouse / customer satisfaction, at its finest! Plugged in my fan..and it worked like a champ. The warm day came, and we saved energy by using the fan instead of the central cooling. We also $aved Gasoline by not having to drive to the Walmart to pick up the purchase. The fan is quiet on the lower speeds #2 and #3...but not at the highest speed;...that machine with its 5 blades can force a lot of air. "Hey" If it's quiet, ... it isn't moving air! It doesn't rattle or anything unusual. It just spins in a good balance, and does what it is designed to do. ....... "Move Air!" BTW...this fan has many uses in our home. I can wash the floors and dry them in 10 minutes. This fan is great (Now this sounds silly but it works ) on the deck / patio When we sit outside to eat, we just position the fan to blow the insects and flies away from the table. Takes care of those pesky yellow jackets that just love to land on your BBQ Chicken! Ha It works great...Don't have to worry about pesky dangerous chemicals in insect spray's...and it keeps us cool if the day is warmer than normal. "Remember"...."Insects Do Not like air in motion!" At night on the deck..we can sit outside comfortably, and those pesky mosquito's are Blown Away. Even when we sit in the lawn area. You know how those mosquito's love that grass, and just love all those bare ankles to bite! Well, we just set up a couple of these Lasko Fans on low, and it just plays heck on those insects flight patterns. No more fanning and swatting mosquito's with our hands. "We just let Mr. Lasko do that chore for us!" ..... "It's a Beautiful Thing!" .... .....

Fan hits the case on 20 inch. I got the 22 inch that was ok.

My sis has had one for many years. So she bought this one for me. Works good.

Does seem superior to the cheaper Lasko Model B20200; more air flow.

Not the quietest fan, but nice and slim for window.

Moves air big time ! Quiet also

Works well to circulate air through the window.

It did exactly what it was supposed to do it kept the bedroom nice and cool. I am happy with my purchase
