Moves a lot of air. Not quiet, but wind causes noise, not much you can about that. I bought them in preparation for fire season (tape a 20x20 furnace filter tightly to the intake side and position it in a window to get wood smoke filtered out). But the 2 fans are getting heavy use in a hot summer without AC.

I ordered 2 fans. One fan arrived with its front plastic screen pushed in enough that the fan blade touched the screen and made a big noise when turned on. I needed these fans urgently as I wanted to make 2 in-house air filters due to the smoke and so being handy I made a wooden bracket to hold the front plastic away from the fan blade. Hopefully after it is on long enough I will not need it but right now I do. Please note that the fan itself is good and I like it, but probably the front screen was damaged in storage or shipping, which needs to be improved. Second fan makes clicking sound for a few second when turned off but is otherwise fine.

Returning this fan because it is noisey rather than "quiet" as advertised.I realize it is a subjective quality, but if I have to turn up the TV when it is running (on low speed yet), it is not quiet! Also returning it because it has the usual FedEx damage, dented frame and aluminum oxide black marks on the frame because they don't clean their trucks.

When comparing fans, don't forget CFM.

We got a fan with a big dent in the body. The fan blade hits the side of the body. It's unusable.

Seems to do the trick. Moves good air. Not quite as quiet as they make it sound, but quiet enough to sleep through.

I really like my box fan. It's slim and powerful. Love the feet that allows the fan to run on full without fear of it falling over. Great purchase.
