the Rest of the Story ....

This is review #2 but I noted that review #1 had NO details, review text nor author - just a great, over-the-top review in all categories .... PLEASE! I bought two of these fans on sale, perhaps as low as $15-19, which was considered a good deal even with low expectations. Our muggy, hot climate simply demands fans on our Spring-Summer-Fall patios & decks ... they also serve to somewhat protect us from bugs/mosquitoes, if not in fact chop them up. Oil rigs employ this solution with "bug blasters" which cost thousands. My review is that for the money, I got what I paid for. I am OK with the deal and the lightweight performance. These are not ideal for large spaces like hot. humid exercise halls, etc. These are good for small spaces when used within 6-15 feet. They can create high "white noise" on high speed (why use any other speed?) but are lightweight w/carry handles. Their plastic feet need to be taped on or will be lost in transit, the only thing keeping the fan upright. Interesting that when shoppers go to "specifications" they only find grade school data. No CFMs and no air "throw". The latter I can estimate at as much as 12-15' on high power but judge outdoors these would need to be parked every 6' on center to good much good. An alternate fan to consider (also @ WalMart) would be the smaller but superior Honeywell HT-800 or similar.

Product didn't work

this fan took a few extra days to arriveafter the one I ordered at the same time, so not only did I have to make a seperate trip to pick it up, it did not work when I got it home. Still very hot during the month of September, but for some stupid reason the stores are no longer carrying fans, so it wasn't like I could just exchange it, I would have had to order another one and wait another week to week and 1/2 to get it. I was over the whole thing already and just returned it. Very disappointing.

It's very loud, even on the lowest speed. I wouldn't recommend it.

Great box fan!

Had this fan for about 2 weeks. Works great! I like the 3 settings to choose the amount of airflow.

previously returned item

I probably would have given this a higher review except it had to be a returned item. No paperwork include, cord wrapped around fan, etc

Good basic box fan

Does what a fan should do. But the "circular design" part is just a gimmick. On the lowest setting it is fairly quiet. This is a basic box fan.

I've had the opportunity to use twice since receiving my purchase. Air seems to flow smoothly and enjoy the three speeds.
