Outperforms all others in its class!

My everyday style of driving is likened to that of a race driver. I have driven on these tires all the while testing them to their limits on dry speed, handling and braking, and wet speed, handling and braking with Superb Results! I don't go anywhere without my ContiProContact tires and I leave all casual drivers, commuters, speedsters and long haul drivers in the zig-zaggety-zag-zag-ziggety dust. ContiProContact: Trust no others! Hailing from the south eastern U.S., ah-ha-ha-ha.

Will not buy again.

19 thousand miles and thread has disappeared... my wife drove the same way on other brand tires and lasted over 30 thousand miles, and another set at 35 thousand. Suspension is in good order, and road conditions are at the same location. So that can't be the issue. Just the tire type itself. Good grip, quiet tires, but just don't last.

Thanks for the review. Please note, if the tires are evenly worn down to 2/32" of tread remaining, with records of rotations every 6,000 - 8,000 miles, the place of purchase and process an exchange. Please select the following link to determine if your tires are eligible for warranty replacement: http://bit.ly/2xcX8qr

Good tread life, good tire, excellent value.

I have these tires on a BMW 325Ci (OEM) and they have just over 40,000 miles on them. The rear tires will easily last another 10,000! Unfortunately both front tires have wear on the insides (possibly due to alignment issues but BMW's are notorious for this type of wear on the front tires due to the camber and the way the suspension is set up). These tires have been quiet, have handled well and with confidence in the rain and on dry pavement and have survived the awful SFO Bay Area roads for 6 years! (and I push my car HARD quite often). The street prices on these tires are ridiculously cheap, and even if a set only lasted three years they would be good value! I will replace my old tires with these again.... there is a good reason why BMW installs them as original equipment. PS. BMW does not recommend rotating tires.

Bald tires at 30,000 Miles

I don't know what happened to the quality of Continental Tires but my tires wore completely out around 30,000 miles. Even after regular rotation and inflation checks they just don't last. On the upside they are very quiet on the road and provide good traction in wet conditions.

It doesn't get any better

Conti ProContact SSR (runflat) tires were original equipment on our 2007 BMW 328xit. Having bought Contis for over 35 years for cars and motorcycles, I was glad to see it. On the first set of tires we had comfort along with great performance (enhanced by the Sport Pack and a manual transmission), excellent fuel efficiancy and above all, a perfect fit with all-wheel-drive . In winter, it is not unusual to pass SUVs that are stuck in snow. Early 2010 saw some big snow fall on the East Coast and the tires were up to the task of getting us where we wanted to go. We never hesitated to head out in any kind of weather. This past Fall some long distance fishing trips were planned. While the tread, at +40,000 miles, was serviceable I decided to replace the Contis anyway. What a difference fresh rubber makes! So much so that I called the tire distributer to verify that I mounted the runflats (which can be a bit harsh) rather than the smoother riding non-runflat tires. They confirmed the proper tire (the SSR on the sidewall indicates the tire is a runflat). If you're holding on to tires to get the very last drop of tread out of them, just remember that fresh tires will make a large difference in ride (performance, too, I imagine). It did for us. I have given the highest marks in the ratings above. It was easy to do.

Fair tire

Bought these four years ago. Always seemed I had to air up the tires. Two were replaced under warranty due to sidewalk defects (bubbles) at different times Tread wear was fair. Tread appeared to be dry cracking prematurely. I could never get the tires really clean. Seemed it had dry chalking film on the outer sidewall the life of the tire. Replaced the tires instead.

Defective in design and manufacturing

Probably the worst tires I owned in 40 years of driving. No more Continental tires for me. I bought a set of 4 ProContacts for my 2019 Prius Prime (For some reason I'm directed to CrossContact RX when I went to review them). After the first rotation, the previously rear tires bounced like they were out of balance (they weren't). Come cold weather, they developed flat spots that caused an even rougher ride until they warmed up. I recently discovered factory sidewall defects on two tires where they were dimpled (very subtle) and they should have never made it out of the factory or past the installer. Tried to get them covered under warranty, but warranty coverage requires taking the tires to an authorized dealer, buy a new set of Contis (Not happening for two reasons, 6 month lead time for availability and not buying another set of Contis ever.) and the dealer has to return tires to Continental for inspection. Continental has recalled these in other sizes for blow out issues.

Great oem tires

I now have 69,934 miles on my 2010 Subaru Outback with original tires. 80% highway miles. They are rotated at 5,000 to max 10,000 miles and have been balanced 3times. I need to replace in the next 60 days and will probably get another set of Contiprocontact. Hoping to get another 70K.

Poor tread wear

Tires came on 2011 subaru Outback purchased new. Tires are completely wore through the wear bares at 34k miles. Tires were regularly balanced and rotated by dealership. Traction in snow was fair. I am disappointed in the quality or the tread life and would not recommend these to anyone else due to short tread life.

Excellent OEM tire on 2009 Chrysler 300C

Purchase the car new with these tires. 67,500 miles and still have decent tread - maybe 5,000 more. I do not notice much road noise over other tires I've had on other cars. No noticible problems with traction, balance/vibration. No snow experience (Raleigh, NC location).
