These fry faster than straight cut - but do use a bit more oil.

It honestly tasted like card board and I thought my oil was bad because after 5 minutes no color...nothing so I replaced my oil and did the same thing so I left them for longer and nothing made these taste any good

Initially we were less than pleased with this purchase. They always seemed to come out chewy/hard whenever they reached the "golden" color. We had also switched oil (from vegetable/canola to clear frying oil) when we purchased these, so I think there was a little more of an adjustment for us. After cooking them several times, we finally figured out the key and like them! These don't turn golden in the oil like we were used to. By that point, they're overcooked. They do darken some to a light golden color after they're dumped on paper towels though. Still not sure whether it's the oil or the fries, because we still have a ton of oil to go through. We have decided to go back to canola though!

I recently bought these and prepared them in the oven on a cookie sheet. They were awful. The factory oil coating had an off taste. The fries themselves were ok except you had to go through and inspect each one. Some had skin which is ok but others had green oil residue, some had I am guessing here black machine grease on them. Will not purchase again. Oh only way to get rid of the factory oil taste is to deep fry them.

We have a food truck and purchased these when Sam's didn't have the Ore-Ida fries in stock. We have half of one box that we will be returning. The fries take longer to cook, never seem to really brown, and taste under-cooked most of the time. Hoping that we didn't lose any customers over these fries.
