I'm a relatively new runner within the past year, and have worked my way up to running longer distances. I was in the market for new headphones that would allow me to attend to my surroundings when running through my neighborhood while still enjoying music. I've been pleasantly surprised by these open ear headphones. I unfortunately have to wear a few other items due to severe allergies (filtered allergy mask, sun glasses) but the headphones still fit comfortably with everything else around my ears and don't budge. I've used them twice so far and worked up a sweat and they appear to be pretty resilient against the extra moisture (and easy to clean). I wasn't expecting significant bass or anything like that, but the overall sound quality is good. If you are around something else that is emitting louder sound (passing car, dog) you will hear that over any music, but that's the point. The battery life seems pretty good, and they charge relatively quickly. So far, I'm impressed! I hope that they continue to hold up with extended use.

These are fantastic! I purchased my first pair about a year ago and have now added a second one - I'm never going back to in-ear headphones again. I've run three Half Marathons in these, done hundreds of HIIT workouts...they don't bounce or distract during even the most strenuous activity. I also love that I can hear everything in my surroundings, making my runs safer.

I have six pairs of bone conduction headphones. Three from Shokz: a set of Titaniums, a set of Aeropex, and now the Pro. I lost my left ear about four years ago and as a singer and musician, I was devastated. I love quality music, and the thought of never hearing stereo again was crushing. When I discovered bone conduction I was thrilled, but then quickly disappointed at the sound quality from the other brands I originally purchased. When I heard about your proprietary EQ I decided I had to try them. When I out my first set of Shokz on my head - I cried tears of joy. Now, as you have continued to update the technology, my experience has been wonderful. The Pros have taken a significant step forward. The new EQ is amazing, the new contact elements are much better than the cloth covered Aeropex “contact patch”. The magnetic charging connector is very convenient, especially in low light, where inserting a USB connector is difficult. Plus, if you forget they are plugged in, no damage when the connector gets pulled off. The construction quality and finish was great to begin with. Now I would rate it as exceptional. Your headphones have very literally returned to me a part of my life I thought was gone forever. Thank you. Thank You! THANK YOU!!!

I recently purchased the OpenRun Pros to replace a similar model from AfterShokz that broke. I am disappointed so far. The sound quality is not high, and after about three uses the new headphones won’t charge. I like the idea, and really liked my old pair, but the new pair is a disappointment. I do like that the new pair comes with a travel case.

I do love the Open Run Pro. There's is one thing that is off it is the sound or connectivity is that when listening to a podcast or music; it is like when there's a scratch on a record and the needle skips/hesitations there is a break in the music. I really like the magnetic connector for the charger cable. This is my third pair.

I love the extra run time over my old set. The sound quality is great. I like the smaller size because it fits my head better. The new charging port is easier to use, but I am concerned that the proprietary cable may be expensive to replace should I loose or damage the one that came with the headset.

Headphones are great. I use them mainly for mountain biking and they stay put very well while riding. They stay on and audio is as good as what I’d expect from this style of headphone. My only gripe is the proprietary charger, why not just use usb c so I don’t need a special cord? Also, my text notification sound comes through kind of distorted, not sure why.

Fit is great Design is cool They seem pretty durable Sound is another story. These aren’t for everyone and they’re not for all activities. Anything above half volume is rough. They’re loud when you’re not wearing them at anything above half. People around you can hear. Quality and range of audio is also something to be desired. You’d think they could use your skull as a subwoofer but they lack all forms of lows. The mid is decent and the highs get crunchy. These are great if you really want that background elevator music or you just want some low background noise but using them in any capacity higher they’re just…. There. I wouldn’t get them again but I guess I’m glad I got them and I can slot them into my earphone rotation somehow.

These are comfortable and the battery, easily, lasts all day. I forget that I am wearing them in most cases. The sound quality lacks the deeper bass tones, but are comparable to most inner ear type headphones. I would recommend them to anyone who needs something that they can be active in. The stay put without feeling tight. Great setup overall.

Weight battery and listening quality are great and have come along way since the first generation. I’m in my second pair. Only complaint I have is from the callers. I get a lot of “what’s that noise in the background?” They are hyper sensitive to background noise
