Not quite as loud as

Not quite as loud as I had hoped. Had the air which were great! Loud clear and sturdy. Bought the Aeroplex which were a disappointment. Not very loud and people can't hear me talk when using the phone. Was hoping for vast improvement from there. At least people can hear me with these.

Great headphones

This is my second pair of shoks so I knew I’d love them. My first pair were the first prototype…they look different and a piece fell off and now they don’t turn on…but I had them about 8-9 years so I’m ok with that! lol. I bought this pair for my 11 yo son to wear on the bus to listen to music and for wireless headphones for his school computer. He likes them! His EarPods don’t fit in his ears and they kept falling out. The AirPod max are just too heavy and expensive to trust him going to school with. The Shoks are perfect! Lightweight, stay on and great price. I bought the refurbished ones and they’re perfect! Definitely recommend these 100%.

Good, but not as great as expected for the price

Overall, these are pretty good headphones for running. They do put some pressure behind my ears that gets uncomfortable after a while and they have a large loop behind the neck that sticks out the back pretty far that can be in the way. I measured before buying to make sure I wouldn't need the smaller version and was well within their measurements for the larger size, but now I'm wondering if the smaller ones wouldn't fit me better. I am an ultra-marathon runner so I always try to ensure that all of my equipment is comfortable for the long-run and fits as perfectly and compactly to my body as possible, so I was hoping for a bit better fit and comfort with these. But it is nice to be able to listen while running and still have the ability to hear my surroundings well. Setup was pretty easy.

Have had these when they

Have had these when they were aftershokz. They were amazing. Have bought more than 5 pairs as gifts for most of my family members! I also wore my aftershokz everyday religiously. Was so excited when the new model came out. However, Everytime I use them on a phone call it will start out fine, then I cannot hear the person on the line. They can hear everything I am saying. Happens every phone call. These are the worst headphones ever! Ended up setting these headphones aside, and using my old aftershokz that work great and have since the first day I bought them.

Shokz rock

I got these for use in a factory setting where Im listening to music pretty constantly. Earbuds can hurt after prolonged use so I really wanted to give Shokz a try. I had originally hoped that Shokz would work well while I had ear plugs in, and they do! But it sounds like listening to music that is muffled through water. . or you know, little foam ear plugs lol. For all day comfort they are amazing. And when they are being used as intended for walking or running or even being in public but wanting to maintain situational awareness - in those instances they're awesome Happy with my purchase, and shout out to the Shokz Customer Happiness team, there were several issues with my ordering process and they made sure I felt cared for and made it right. Love my Shokz!

Useful for those with middle ear hearing loss

I have conductive (middle ear) hearing loss, so my ENT suggested I get a pair of conductive headphones, since they essentially skip over the middle ear and the vibrations are sensed by the inner ear. I can also use these headphones while wearing my hearing aid. I give the headphones a 4 because they could be a bit tighter in order to have more bone contact and transmit the vibrations better. Some pros are that they connect really easily and quickly, are user friendly, and I’m not worried about wearing them outside in the rain.

Great for outdoor activities but...

I needed to find an alternative to in-ear buds. Friends and online reviews all match: good audio quality. good for ambiance (safety) noise like cars around. and so on. So I bought them I also liked the small size option. The problem I've found so far is that I need them to be placed right on my ears(of course, that's how they work) or I would have to put the volume all the way up to get the sound. I haven't figure out how to deal with long hair (over or under) and still get the best sound. The best fit, specially when running is wearing a beanie hat (all good since it's winter). The hat will keep the headphones close to my skull and in the right location. The dual connection didn't work very well with my computer and my phone, so I disabled that feature and I connect to a single device at a time.

Good as a running-specific pair of headphones

Pros: very comfortable, even when running with sunglasses on ... no "in-ear fatigue" that I get from wearing airpods for long periods of time Cons: sound quality is quite a bit lower than even low-quality "normal" headphones and is very impacted by outside sound. That means that, outside of running, I don't really like using these headphones. WHILE RUNNING, I find them to be quite good - though standard airpods have better sound, the Shokz headset is less susceptible to wind noise and therefore makes it overall about the same quality "net net"

Excellent piece of hardware. Love

Excellent piece of hardware. Love being able to hear a tune while also be aware of my surroundings while on the bike. Controls are easy to use and remeber on the fly. I wish I had these in my spinning classes to hear music and the instructor without haviing to blast it through speakers.

Workout/gym review

Ngl, was a little skeptical since I had zero experience with these type of headphones but to have the ability to hear outside of the music playing was something that I was very interested in. I bought the newest model, from the reviews I read it just makes sense to start from the top because in most cases of it doesn’t hold up to your expectations, chances are the lesser of its product line wouldn’t either. Music. It plays well, you can hear all the instruments, vocals, nothing is let behind. The bass seems to be the weakest link but understanding it’s whole purpose of its nature, it is acceptable and doesn’t throw the music off or feels inadequate because of the bass. There is definitely room for improvement and from the looks of its history, they are here to improve its quality so that is a huge plus. Outside noise/sounds. Question is, can you hear and understand the sounds outside of the headphones itself? After all that is the whole point of this development. Short answer, yes, yes you can. Your volume with dictate how well can you hear outside of that. Even when you have the volume loud, you can still here noises and voices if they are close to you. Understanding what is being said may not be that easy. Again, if you have it loud enough that you can hear your music over noise you can certainly understand what others are saying to you. If anything you are aware of what is going on and I feel that is the whole point of this style. With over the ears or ear buds you are really isolated from your surroundings and usually needs a tap on the shoulder to get your attention. Ease of use. Right? We don’t want things complicated or have to memorize pages of info to navigate your headset. This is cut and dry and basically does pretty much what you want to do when you working out. Volume/power buttons (only 2) on your right ear, left ear has one button that does 1,2 or 3 clicks and that’s it. You want more, use your phone otherwise you wouldn’t want more than this. Cons. The only thing that really comes to mind aside from what I mentioned earlier is their special usb charging cable. It would be nice if they provided 2 cables, however I do wished the cable itself was a foot longer. You would still be able to fit it in the case easily. Results. Yes Yes Yes! By understand it’s purpose and that is what you are looking for, you will be happy and pleased with these headphones. Easy to put on and take off, comes with a great case and a charging cable, smooth operation, navigation is simple and effective. Battery life is great and the produced sounds are above par. Super happy with these!
