This stuff actually works!

I used to only buy one brand of dish soap because it was well-known for cutting grease on dishes. It always worked well so I had a whole pantry full of the stuff. But when my son was born, I started to think about all of the ingredients in the soap that would be transferred to his bottles and the breast pump pieces and I grew concerned. I spoke to a friend and switched to Seventh Gen dish liquid and I'm so happy. I love the lemon scent and I'm amazed that the dishes come out clean with no grease or residue. I ended up donating my old stock pile to our animal shelter and now I'm starting a new stock pile of Seventh Gen!

Use With Caution - Allergens!!

My wife and I have been using this product for 3 weeks to clean baby bottles and nursing supplies. I have had a very dramatic sensitivity to fragrances as propylene glycol in the past, so this seemed like a good product to try. However, after using this product for 3 weeks, my hands began to erupt with blisters and this can only be attributed to this product, as no other products in our home have changed. We use non fragrance laundry detergent, non fragrance soap and shampoo, and I use no other cleaning products without glove on my hands. The synthetic preservatives are most likely to blame, but I am performing a path test to determine this for sure. I assume that this product would be fine for most people out there - but if you have a high sensitivity to propylene glycol, I'd would stay far away from this product. Very disappointing. We will stay on the lookout for something that is truly allergy-free. In the meantime, I have to now manage this breakout to keep it in check - which could take weeks or months.

Methylisothiazolinone Preservative

I bought 7th generation, thinking it would be better than Dawn or Palmolive because it is more natural. Well, I had patch testing done because I was having atopic dermatitis and it revealed that I am allergic to Methylisothiazolinone. My dermatologist said that a lot more people are becoming allergic to this synthetic preservative. Seventh Generation - you should look into this!

Smaller Bottles of Dish Soap

I have been buying the product for several years now under the belief that they were a environmentally friendly company. Does the company really believe the customer will not notice a smaller bottle for the same price as the old larger bottle? This means more smaller bottles and plastic in the land fills to buy same amount of product. Just keep the larger bottles and go up on the price and stop trying to deceive your customers.

Great for baby

I use this to wash my almost 1 year old daughter's bowls, plates, utensils, sippy cups and even to clean her highchair. She's purely breastfed but if she were using bottles I'd use this for that too. It gets the job done. My baby has really sensitive skin so I love that it's free & clear. Plus the price is great too.

Hate shape of the bottle; otherwise it's okay

I usually buy this liquid dish detergent in the lavender scent. I have not had any problems until recently when the bottle's shape was changed. I do NOT like the new shape. The old way (more like an hourglass shape) worked the best, giving your hands a way to grip it when they (or the bottle is) soapy and wet. I now have to pick the bottle up with both hands or else it slips away from me, and that is not always easy or convenient when washing dishes. Otherwise, the product works okay.

Bad stuff

Do not buy this product. It has two synthetic preservatives ending in ...zolinone. I for one a so allergic to these substances I can break out for up to eight weeks with just one exposure. Natural preservatives should be used n products labels Free and Clear. This is not Free and Clear.

Smaller bottle = more plastic

SG has shrunk the size of the bottle to a ridiculously small amount - 19 oz. I have a large family, and handwash everything. So now with the smaller bottles, that means more bottles, which is more plastic waste, more fuel burned for delivery, more impact to the environment. So now I will look for another dish soap. Most people who buy dish soap are not going to use one bottle over their entire life. They will used hundreds of bottles, if not more. You should be making GIANT size bottles to reduce plastic waste and reduce environmental impact. Remember surface area is x^2, volume is x^3. Less plastic also means more profit for your company. I don't know why you chose the smaller bottles, it makes no sense from either an environmental standpoint or business standpoint.

Clean and hard working product

I use this brand for everything - promising brand with fewer ingredients that are safer than most products. I appreciate the appearance of size and how easy it is to dispense. Overall, it performs as it says and I love the soft scent making it appear clean:)

A Summer Sensation That Actually Cleans!

I've been on the hunt for a natural dish soap that doesn't sacrifice cleaning power, and the Seventh Generation Dish Liquid in Summer Orchard Scent finally hit the mark. This soap is an absolute joy to use and has completely replaced my old conventional brand. Scent & Experience (5/5 Stars) Let's start with the fragrance, which is easily the star of the show. The "Summer Orchard" scent is a delightful, authentic blend of fresh fruit, primarily apples and berries, without smelling artificial or overly sweet. It's light, refreshing, and genuinely uplifting while you're washing dishes, but it doesn't linger heavily on the dishes themselves. For those sensitive to strong chemical smells, this plant-derived fragrance is a welcome change.
