I was weary because have bought pencils that look "cool" but seem to break or have rarely any lead in them. Not this brand--I couldn't be more happy how much lead is in them and how they are very sturdy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My children really enjoy the Xtra Sparkle Mechanical Pencils. They are very easy to use. It comes in multiple colors great for boys and girls. Already filled with lead. It doesnt come with extra lead.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these awhile back and I just started using them. I do a lot of writing at work and I prefer pencils. They write very smooth. The eraser fits snug enough to where it doesn't move while erasing but it comes out easy to replace the lead. The colors and sparkle are very cheerful.

And the lead is sturdy...I didnt experience any breakage at all.I didnt really understand the concept of the sparkle though.Never saw sparkle but I would recommend these pencils as...great product!!

I've always hated a scratchy pencil. It gives me feelings like nails on the chalkboard. I never used a pencil when I was little becuase of this. Of course now there are zillions of options, and I know which pencils I am comfortable with. I got this pencil free when I oredred my textbooks. I tested it today and yeesh! VERY SCRATCHY. I would not invest in this pencil. Sorry Bic.

These are awesome, the lead is strong, the design is cute, and its one school supply I am positive is a good purchase.
