This generator appears to be high quality. I have not had the opportunity yet to run it yet, during a power outage. But I did follow the instructions in the very well written, easy to understand manual, quick start guide and broke it in for the specified five hour period. Started right up, did not have to charge the battery either. They even included a quart of engine oil for this purpose. Controls are well laid out, especially for selecting which fuel is being used. it also has a very useful status screen showing among other things engine run time. It will tell you when to change engine oil, output and more. Yes, I would recommend it. It is very heavy though, not one to take on a camping trip. Perfect for home stand-by power and you dont have to make trips to town for gas. That is, if you have access to large volume natural gas or propane.

I purchased this generator because it runs on all three types of fuel I have available. I have tested it on propane and it worked great. I am in the process of having natural gas connected. I am also having an electrician wire a connection so I can plug in my whole house. The electrician told me I should be able to run everything except the 4 ton a/c unit. But he said to give it a try because it might just work. The generator is the 8000 watt tri fuel generator. If it doesn't work then I will purchase a portable a/c unit. Here in north Louisiana A/C is very important on those 100 degree days. I will give it 5 stars when I see how it works. (Wife said as long as the coffee maker works, I should give it 5 stars)

I received the generator after the first one was returned before being delivered due to damage prior to delivery. The second one arrived and after reading the manual and prepping it for initial startup I started it up on my driveway. It took several attempts to get it started but it finally started up as I could hear the battery start to run down. It ran for several minutes then shut down with a CO2 alarm. I waited until the next day and started it on the driveway again. There was a decent breeze but once again, the unit shut down on CO2 alarm after several minutes. I started it again the next day, once again with a decent breeze, and ran it for about 10 minutes without it shutting down. Hopefully the unit shutting down will not be a recurring theme.

#sweepstakes Overall I am happy with this unit. It arrived in excellent condition, started up perfectly on natural gas and have had no issues. I much prefer a tri-fuel which is made to be a tri-fuel than adding an after market kit and voiding a warranty on another machine. Champion is ahead of the game with this tri-fuel strategy.

I could give a better review after it is broke in . I had to charge the battery to get it to start,but I have had it for 3 months.it was able to run my 3 hp.220 volt table saw but the lights dimmed a lot until it got to speed.I bought it to get my wife off my back ,and I hope I'll never need it,my electric doesn't go out very often .once in the last 4 years so I'm not worried about it.

This champion generator is a workhorse. It ran for six straight days with no problems. I used all three fuel types during this time and all worked with no problems moved through them seamlessly. I'm sold. It kept me in my family from being in the relentless Houston heat During the power outage. Workhorse. !!!

We are using for a emergency generator for our home as we have power outages often. (if a squirrel farts in a 10 mile radius) Like that it's multi fuel so far over 6 hours on one 30 pound propane tank.
