We bought our first tempur-pedic over 16 years ago. We decided to get another newer model with an adjustable base this time. We have the older one your grandson. The adjustable base is heaven and so is the mattress. My wife and I are both in our mid 50's and we love the comfort, support and rest we get with Tempur-pedic mattress. It does take 30 to 45 days to break it in. I know that sounds crazy but it is true. Give yourself at least that long to break it in and then you to will be dreaming all night long. Happy sleeping!

Couldn't have come at a better time as I was in the market to replace my prior memory foam mattress that I purchased around three years ago. We have been having a struggle with the mattress we currently had so was thrilled with the opportunity to test out a Tempur-pedic. My fiance has been a Tempur-pedic customer for the past 20 years and was in the market for a replacement as well. Considering the cost of mattresses, when I purchased a new house and needed a one, I went for a comparable mattress. I went with a Serta memory foam that turned into a nightmare! Neither my fiance, or I could sleep comfortably on that mattress. Upon arrival of the Tempur-pedic adapt mattress, I initially noticed a difference in the thickness. The height profile is lower than the one I had previously which takes a bit of getting used to. The mattress sleeps better than the one I had previously, however, I'm still not sold on a memory foam type of a mattress. Time will tell as I know it takes a while for a mattress to "break in". I am a side sleeper and find that it Isn't the best option for me, along with the fact that it sleeps hot. My fiance loves the mattress and has been able to sleep comfortably at my place when he visits when previously he would get up and go to another room for lack of comfort on the old mattress. I would say that I'm still able to sleep better on this mattress and it was better than I expected, considering I'm not used to memory foam yet.

Before we bought our TEMPUR-LuxeAdapt Soft we would both wake up at least once or twice a night tossing and turning. Our Tempurpedic has totally changed that and we can finally sleep through the night and get a solid 7 hours of sleep. Not only does it help us sleep through the night we wake up actually feeling like we've gotten a great night's sleep because we have!

With our old mattress (also a foam-style) we'd wake up in the morning (and often at night) with sore and achy backs, not quite feeling as though we got the sleep we needed. The Tempur Luxe-Adapt has cured those ills and not only do we wake up without the sore back, we wake up much more refreshed. A nice change (and a nice mattress)! Thanks! Jim and Deb

I purchased this mattress almost 4 months ago. I wanted to sleep on it several months before posting a review, as I think it is more helpful to others when reading reviews before a purchase. While this is a VERY comfortable mattress, it is supposed to be cooling all night, and I did purchase the cooling mattress cover, it definitely does not keep you cool. I've woken up many times per night, for many nights, hotter than Hades. I literally have to move to a whole other spot in the bed, luckily I got a king size! I've tried thinner blankets hoping that was part of the problem, but it is not the blankets, it's the mattress or cover holding the heat. It does not happen every night, fortunately, but it does happen quite often. My husband says he's noticed it also, but not as much as I do, he could sleep through a tornado. It is very comfortable though. I'm sure I'll enjoy it in the winter months.

In the store, the soft mattress felt by far the most comfortable for both my wife and I. (Which was in fact a huge surprise to both of us since I thought I needed a hard mattress,) Now we have it home, that 'Ahhh factor' that we hoped for isn't there - at least not yet. That is NOT to say this mattress is uncomfortable. It is at least as good if not better than anything we've had before - which includes various water beds and air/adjustable mattresses. As the salesman told us, do not really judge for at least a month, and we haven't had it that long. Still experimenting with the adjustable bed-frame, so probably haven't found the ideal combination of head and foot placement. One word of warning. We paid the extra for the 'connectable' bed frame. Unfortunately, our phones are old enough that Android 8 is too old to work with the app. Once I get connected and get reports on quality of sleep, maybe we can adjust and improve.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have Thoracic Outlet Syndrome and now a Herniated Disc in my back. I have wanted this bed for 10 years and this year I finally bought it. It was everything I expected and more. I wish I would have purchased it earlier. In a few weeks my back is already feeling much better and my arms don't ache as bad at night. My whole body feels a lot lighter and more supported on this bed. My cats also love it, you should see the faces they make and the positions they fall asleep in, they definitely feel the heaven just like I can.

After owning a different brand for many years and giving a trial to two different brands and finding them to be called soft but not living up to the name, we went back to Tempur-Pedic (we had one over ten years ago) and found the relaxed, pain free sleep we have been missing. The sales manager, Samantha Cordivano, used her outstanding product knowledge and listening skills to guide us to the model that was perfect for our needs. It is wonderful being back.

I didn't realize how much sleep (or lack thereof) was affecting my daily life until I purchased this bed. I just assumed many people struggled with sleep and it was just a part of life. Boy, was I wrong. I've only had my soft split California king LuxeAdapt mattresses for about three weeks and already my husband and I can tell a difference in our sleep hygiene. My husband has a diagnosis of degenerative disc disease, which is why we made the purchase in the first place. After purchasing our new bed, now we both wake up feeling more rested and less sore from aches and pains. I just thought aches and pains were part of being in my 30s. Evidently, I was wrong. I love that this bed is able to mold perfectly to my body in order to form a layer of comfort that is reminiscent of what a cloud might feel like. Thank you Tempur-Pedic! I look forward to many tranquil nights of sleep with my new bed.

I'm sleeping through the night! I wake up in the same position with my new Tempurpedic mattress. The Tempur-LuxeAdapt soft mattress just holds me perfectly that I do feel weightless, and drift right away into sleep. It's perfect for me sleeping on my side or back. I've had it for nearly a month & the 30 day breaking-in period has past, just as the salesperson told me it would after coming from the warehouse; It's warmed up & softened. I'm completely more than satisfied. It keeps me cool & I love the 2 Tempurpedic pillows which mold to my head & keep me cool too; a must have! I love my new mattress & pillows, thank you!
