The anticipation while waiting for its delivery was palpable, as I had been struggling with back pain and knew a good mattress could make all the difference in my quality of life. When it finally arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by its weight, a sign of its high-quality materials. As I laid down on the mattress for the first time, I felt a sense of relief wash over me. I waited to make this review to allow time to change my mind. My complaint isn't the mattress, its the odor that comes from it. The first night we slept on it I had to go sleep in the guest room. The fumes that came from it were more than I could tolerate. Next night my husband joined me. For three days, we set our mattresses out on saw horses outside to hopefully help with the odor. After those three days, we put them on the frame without any bedding and I opened the window and put a fan on them all day. We continued to sleep in the guest room. After about 10 days, I made up the bed and we slept in it. I am a side sleeper so that puts my face closer to the mattress. My husband sleeps on his back so it wasn't as bothersome to him. Although I enjoy the mattress and enjoy the feel and comfort of it and all that the it does with our special frame, I wouldn't be able to recommend it. I do have a very sensitive sense of smell, but this odor was over the top.

We owned an original Tempurpedic mattress for 19 years. When we went to replace it, we made the mistake of listening to the Levin salesman who talked us into a less expensive mattress. Two mattresses later, we returned to Tempurpedic and are again enjoying great sleep. On the negative side, we tried to order our Tempurpedic online and had a terrible experience with delivery. We had to cancel the online order and go to our local Tempurpedic dealer.

This bed, especially with the zero gravity, has helped him so much no more pressure sores or paid while lying in bed for hours and days at time. Was the best thing I could have bought. I'm a side sleeper, I was experiencing hip pain on our older Tempurpedic mattress. Thinking due to it's age, it was time for a new bed. I really wanted to try a complete different type of mattress, but my husband is real happy with Tempurpedic. So, to compromise I agreed to get the Tempur-LuxeAdapt Soft. We've had it now for over a month & I'm finding it's not much different than our original, in fact my legs are hurting off & on now while trying to sleep on this bed. I'm fine all day with my hip & legs, it just seems the bed isn't for my body.

We tried the other less expensive options and had to return them because they were so flimsy. The extra cost of a Tempur-Pedic is well worth it because you get a high quality product. We are enjoying ours and our sleep has improved overall.

This is the worst mattress I've ever owned! It's soft and comfortable for a few minutes, then it feels like you're sleeping on a furnace! I've woken up sweating every night since we got it about 2 months ago, even after turning the thermostat to 65 and turning on a fan. I'm very petite, so it's not like I'm a large person sinking too far. We have a split king and I just laid on my husband's side and it feels like it is starting to sink in the middle. Very disappointed in the beds after we spent so much!!

Our previous 30 year old mattress was still in good shape, with no permanent indentations. Needless to say, we had high expectations when shopping for its replacement. After one go around with a traditional mattress that didn't meet our expectations, we decided to try a TEMPUR-LuxeAdapt. The one original turnoff was that if you toss and turn, it takes a few seconds for the mattress to adapt to the new position which feels odd. Plus we were concerned with longevity. We decided to go with Firm in hopes that the firmness would lessen premature permanent indentations. We've had our mattress for a month now. When crawling into bed, it feels very firm, however, within seconds, your body slowly melts into the mattress. We have no regrets at this point. Time will tell. We also purchased a Tempurpedic Pillow, which I love, love, love. No more headaches in the morning. It cradles your neck and provides the perfect amount of firmness/cushion. I also ordered the travel size version online.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our second TempurPedic mattress and we are very happy with the quality and feel of the TEMPUR-LuxeAdapt Firm mattress. The mattress is very supportive and comfortable. Years of back pain had me searching for a better mattress and TempurPedic was the answer. We ordered directly from the TempurPedic website and was very happy with the customer support we received. All my questions were answered thoroughly via the online chat and on the phone and the sales associate was very friendly and professional. I would like to mention that this mattress is higher than a traditional mattress and will effect the choice of foundation. A 9" traditional foundation with this mattress will be quite high. We opted for a 5" traditional foundation as our bedroom set is more traditional, and the height was just right. We will continue to purchase and recommend these wonderful mattress to our family and friends.

Sleeps very hot.. u sink into the bed like quicksand and cannot get comfortable when asleep. Neck hurt with temper pillows also. I actually slept on the ground the last 5 days prior to bed being returned. I would of probably done the cool bed with medium or mediumhard feel and might have liked it and kept it but couldn't take that chance with only one return allowed. They came and picked it up with no hassles.
