I've owned the luxe adapt soft for about 3 weeks. It is so different than my 16 yo Simmons Comfortpedic so I'm still getting used to it. When sitting one sinks into the bed eventually bottoming out on something uncomfortable. Also, when you get up, it takes some time for the foam to spring back up. At almost $4,000 I'm disappointed in the comfort of this bed. The Simmons at half the price is far more comfortable. Full disclosure, I'm 5'7" 130 pounds with a torn meniscus and torn rotator cuff. I have osteoporosis and arthritis. My bed requirements are more than most. The average person will probably like this bed. I also d as keep with 3 dogs who move astound. They sink and when they move around the bed doesn't spring back quick enough. It's uncomfortable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Tempur-pedic adapt soft mattress to test and review. Couldn't have come at a better time as I was in the market to replace my prior memory foam mattress that I purchased around three years ago. We have been having a struggle with the mattress we currently had so was thrilled with the opportunity to test out a Tempur-pedic. My fiance has been a Tempur-pedic customer for the past 20 years and was in the market for a replacement as well. Considering the cost of mattresses, when I purchased a new house and needed a one, I went for a comparable mattress. I went with a Serta memory foam that turned into a nightmare! Neither my fiance, or I could sleep comfortably on that mattress. Upon arrival of the Tempur-pedic adapt mattress, I initially noticed a difference in the thickness. The height profile is lower than the one I had previously which takes a bit of getting used to. The mattress sleeps better than the one I had previously, however, I'm still not sold on a memory foam type of a mattress. Time will tell as I know it takes a while for a mattress to "break in". I am a side sleeper and find that it Isn't the best option for me, along with the fact that it sleeps hot. My fiance loves the mattress and has been able to sleep comfortably at my place when he visits when previously he would get up and go to another room for lack of comfort on the old mattress. I would say that I'm still able to sleep better on this mattress and it was better than I expected, considering I'm not used to memory foam yet.

I am not sure what Tempurpedic changed with their product, but not the same :(. So disappointed with the recent purchase. The last mattress as purchased in 2008 and they no longer manufacture that model. New model that Tempurpedic recommended as closest match was Luxe Adapt.

From the moment I rested my body on this bed, I immediately felt supported. The Luxe Adapt wraps itself around me so subtly that I knew I was going to have a great nights sleep. The next morning I woke with a rested feeling and less tossing around for comfort as with a traditional mattress. Side or back sleeping was comfortable and no pressure on my shoulder or hips in either position. I'm very pleased and thankful for such quality sleep and body support from the Tempurpedic. *(I was given this product as a gift in exchange for writing this review)

I have the king size. Both my husband and I are side sleepers. We both have shoulder and side pain in the mornings, due to the bed not being as conforming as we need. Going to exchange it for the Lux Adapt soft!! If you are undecided and you are a side sleeper, definitely go with the soft!!

This is the best bed ever! I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and so many parts of my body hurt, even when I lay down. I was unable to sleep on either side as it caused my hips to hurt. I sink into this bed, and there is no pain! Thanks for creating the pressure point relief. I'm sleeping better than I have in years. I no longer wake up every hour or two.

I have had my mattress for about 5 weeks now and I am loving it. At first, it felt really hard and I was nervous, but it has really softened up and is perfect now. It molds to the shape of my body, which helps to relieve stress on my body! I have been sleeping much better than I ever have with my new mattress!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have Thoracic Outlet Syndrome and now a Herniated Disc in my back. I have wanted this bed for 10 years and this year I finally bought it. It was everything I expected and more. I wish I would have purchased it earlier. In a few weeks my back is already feeling much better and my arms don't ache as bad at night. My whole body feels a lot lighter and more supported on this bed. My cats also love it, you should see the faces they make and the positions they fall asleep in, they definitely feel the heaven just like I can.

Um, wow, after sleeping on the tempur pedic luxe I can see what I was missing out on. The way it forms to my body and is just so soft yet firm. The first night when I woke up I just felt so good. I normally have to snooze once or twice, but this time I didn't. I just got up. Also getting out of bed felt easier if that makes sense. Like actually easier on my body. I think this is due to the "adapt" technology of the bed. I would recommend this bed to anyone. If you feel like you are NOT getting good sleep I feel like this bed will knock your socks off and genuinely change your life.
