My old iron had a teflon sole plate which I though was smooth..  This iron has a mirror-like sole plate that just GLIDES over the fabric with no effort.  Very impressed, hence five stars.  The steam is continuous and the amount controllable.  The water spray is not too heavy or too misty.  However, the temperature control is neither intuitive or precise.  The only caution is that the iron does indeed steam vertically but the steam button has to be forcefully pressed AND the steam is not continuous but comes it big bursts of steam with each press of the steam button.  Overall, highly recommend.
