We were so pleased with the size and shape of this pretty garbage can(whoever would've thought I'd say pretty garbage...huh?) I was searching for awhile and pricing them everywhere and they were double the price! The sensor works wonderfully and when you step away it shuts on it's own...yay!! We are thrilled!

This is a nice trash can and I am happy with it so far. It holds the capacity of a 13 gallon plastic bag - have had it one week or so and have emptied it twiice. The can before this one was small and did not hold a complete bag. It is serving the purpose well and I like it so much, that I gave my daughter one. I did have to learn how to get it opened without the lid touching my hand. Walmart has the best price - another company is asking $100 for the same can. I like the operation of the lid opening and closing - it's quiet and attractive sittig in my kitchen (in a small space).

I bought this specific brand trashcan the first time at Costco a couple years ago. Since having it I can't imagine living without one in our kitchen. I have two young kids and having this handsfree trashcan helps with keeping hygiene for me (I'm a germ phobe) and them. It's also definitely not an eye sore to have out, keeps with a modern/clean decor. The batteries last very long as I don't even remember changing it in the two yrs with the 1st one. Anyway, in case you are wondering it broke only because I dropped the heavy lid one too many times that the "flap" cracked and detached itself, rendering itself useless as "automatic". Costco does not carry it anymore as they've rotated to carrying another brand. I'm glad to have found it at Walmart for a reasonable price. Since receiving it, only had one minor glitch (in the beginning)---the automatic lid flap opened only half way. I thought I had a dud and would have to go through the hassel of returning. I called the helpline and the associate said it only needed to be "resetted". I don't know how exactly, but after 3-4 days, it corrected itself and started functioning correctly. Since then, no problems. Again, I highly recommend this product. You won't regret it and will never go back to a regular kitchen trashcan.

This is a fun and quirky trash can. I've only had it a couple of weeks, but it is working great. I feel like I've made a connection to it...kind of like a little pet. It opens its mouth on command and even sometimes when you reach over it or pass by. It's a little more difficult to change the trash bag than my old can, but not hard to get used to. It fills up very full and you can push a button to leave the lid open if you have a lot of plates to scape and don't want to keep opening and closing it. Have fun with it!

After only 9 months, the lid is already malfunctioning. The lid no longer automatically opens when the sensor is engaged. The open button doesn't work. When I push the close button, the lid will open, but when I hit the close button again, the lid will close momentarily and then automatically pop back up 2 seconds later and stay open. I have replaced the batteries, but it is still malfunctioning. I would recommend getting a foot level trash can and avoid this headache.

Been looking for a new kitchen garbage can. This is what I was looking for. The price was very fair compared to other choices of the same. Been using it for two weeks and it works as expected. For the price it's the best you can get in that range. I would buy again.

This was such an awesome choice in trash cans. There is no getting food on your walls or trash can from people tossing their trash because you have to stand over the trash can to open it and put your trash in. My hubby is very pleased with the amount of trash that it actually holds (full bag of trash), and the lid that holds the bag in place is awesome. I'm ordering another one!!!!

I've had this for about two years. After the first six months, it stopped opening fully, so you had to nudge it with your hand to get it to completely open. Now, it doesn't function at all. I've changed batteries, it opens every once in a while. The manual buttons don't work. I suppose two years is a lot for a Nines Stars product. Going to try another brand now and hope for better electronics.

We've had this stainless steel trash can for about 3 weeks now and we absolutely love it! We bought this from walmart.com because we figured if there was a problem, we could easily return it at the local WalMart store. The size is great, it looks great and it works well. We are very happy with our purchase:)

So far, so good. I really never thought I'd be into a trash can, but this trash can is awesome. It's a great size and it also looks nice. However, I think the best feature is the hands free feature: you never have to touch your trash can when you have something gross on your hands like raw meat, so it helps to keep the can clean. It was also less expensive than the majority of stainless steel cans that don't come with any cool features. The highlight of my trash can ownership thus far is when it randomly opened on its own as a ladybug crawled across the sensor: it's really sensitive. You won't be sorry if you buy it and then you, too, will be into trash cans.
