I was definitely pleased with this item. I didnt want to spend a fortune on a trashcan but i wanted something presentable to display in my kitchen that i wouldnt be ashamed of. I love the fact that i paid 1/3 of the price and still ended up with a clean, sleek looking can. I didnt realize that it was a automatic lid when i purchased it. But to my surprise was definetely an added bonus! My family loves this feature. i love the fact that my trash stays hidden and if i dont have the extra hand to open the lid it just pops right open! Needless to say, my 2 year old loves to open it also!!! OVerall - you are getting a whole lot more for your money with this trashcan!! A very happy shopper indeed!!!

I purchased this trash can for our kitchen area at work a couple of months ago. It really looks nice and works well, but we occasionally have to push the "open" or "close" button when the automatic lid gets caught open or partially open, which I don't think is a big deal. We haven't had to change the batteries yet either and with 35 people in and out of there all week, it gets a lot of use. I am not sure I would recommend this product for a high traffic area like our kitchen though. When you throw as much stuff away, as often as we do sometimes triggering the sensor and waiting for it to open is a little bit of a pain. I think it would work better in a household type environment. Overall, I think it was a good purchase and a good value.

I bought this in April 2016, it officially died December 2017 so it only lasted almost two years. It started acting a bit erratic about 3 months ago where it would get off track when it opened I would have to manually place top back. It would also close too hard in the last few months and fly off. I bought new batteries because it wasn't opening at all but nope didn't work. It was great garbage can while it lasted. I'll go back to manual.

I have a trash can-diving mutt and have been looking for something that would finally stop his 'snacking' and allow me to avoid touching the can lid. This can more than meets the bill. I used ship-to-store and it arrived in perfect condition. The touchless feature is great and fast - the lid isn't hanging open. I can also turn off the touchless feature when I go to work to save battery life. And even though my Mutt is big, he doesn't trigger the lid thanks to some smart designing.

Worked great for almost a year. I have had it since 12/17/10. Only replaced the batteries once, but as of this week it stopped working! Even though its under warranty, you have to ship it back to them. Heck after shipping and not having it for gods know how long, might as well buy another one!

I am pleased to not have to touch the top to throw trash in the can. This product is one of the best item to continue to have in my kitchen. Also, this is my second one. The first one lasted for about three years or more. Wonderful to invest your money in. Every member of the family wanted one. Also, my company are impressed.

Great Trash Can, but backing to battery compartment fell into trash can and I didn't realize it until it was too late. Now I have a trash can with no working lid. I tried looking online to purchase a replacement back...but it's almost impossible. I wanted something fancy for my kitchen and was hesitant on spending this much on a trash can, but splurged despite my better judgement. All in all, my thrill was short lived and a valuable lesson was learned. I will be purchasing a plastic hefty trash bin this time around to save on any future disappointments.

Excellent trash can. Very simple but attractive design (as much as a trash can could be, I guess). The automatic lid is very responsive and also comes with the option to open or close with the push of a button. There is also a shutoff switch. So far, this is a great purchase at a decent price. Definitely recommend.

I bought it online January 2012 and had it shipped to store. It arrived on time, is easy to operate and looks great. Everyone who comes to our house comments on it. We've been using it for four months and have no complaints. The original batteries are still working fine. And another big plus, the kids love to throw away their trash.

I bought this trash can for my mom, she has wanted a stainless steel trash can since we've lived in our new house. I opened it before Christmas to make sure it wasn't damaged and to see if it worked. The box appeared rather small so I assumed the trash can would be little. The trash can is not small after you attach the lid it looks like a normal trash can. The lid is plastic, but it seems to be durable. Over all I'm satisfied with the product.
