Not Scott's best product

Bought beginning of this spring and put down end of April. Lawn never looked so bad in nine years I owned the house. It took months to get the lawn back. Constantly raking it out finally brought it back. Tried to use the same product late August, too soon to tell but the lawn is full of Spurge Weed.

Green green green grass

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I applied the Turf Builder 2 weeks ago and there is a huge difference in my yard. My neighbors yards on both sides look yellow now compared to how green my yard looks. The instructions were very clear as well.

It's ok

Recently started treating my lawn. I thought I was late to the party treating for crabgrass so I bought triple action. Applied early spring around Easter when it was above 60 for about a week. Applied at 6:00 in the morning with morning dew and had 48 hours of sun before a half inch of rain came. I don't expect miracles over night. I feel it killed some dandelions but a lot came up after that. Yesterday morning I applied weed n feed Scott's. I'll give Scott's products 2 years before I make my decision on changing. Don't expect changes over night. Might purchase a spray weed killer for the summer to try and get a head.

Fantastic Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had to remove a lot of grass for a plumbing issue. We put this down and it grew so fast and our yard has never been so green and looked so. Fantastic product. I would recommend this to anyone who has issues getting grass to grow.

Great fertilizer not weed killer

Applied this stuff about 5 weeks ago. Had a thorough rain for a couple days after, so it was good and watered in. The grass is growing in very thick and green, however the dandelions are having a field day also. The clover, chickweed, crabgrass, and creeping violets also don't seem to have been affected by this product, all are growing out of control. Maybe I got a bad batch with no weed killer in it?

We are sorry for the disappointment you encountered with Scotts Turf Builder Triple Action. One of the active ingredients in this product imitates plant hormones and causes the weed to outgrow themselves and die. We ask that you contact us at the following link if you have other questions: http://tinyurl.com/mds8zo5

I love Scotts Turf Builder!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am in love with Scotts Turf Builder Triple Action. This product is everything i hoped it would be. It has thickened my grass and is helping new grass grow where there once wasnt any. You can use this product all year long!!!! It crowds the weeds out which is definitely an issue for us but its not anymore. I highly recommend this product!!!!! Will be ordering more!

3 out of 5 stars for me

Have been using Triple Action for 3 yrs. Applied twice last year. Does good job on many weeds. Just put down triple action 3 weeks ago and surprise sadly, a large bloom of Oxalis showed itself this week. Also, it has little or no effect on wild violet. Take these 2 determined weeds off the Triple Action controlled weed list...I'm on the MD/PA border, mid atlantic area.

Better than a lawn care service

I used this on my lawn last year and my lawn got so many compliments, including it “ looked like a golf course”. Used a lawn care company for the years previous to using the triple action and this worked far better and was much cheaper. I'll be using again and several families members and neighbors will be using this spring as well.

Horrible

I've been using Scotts for years and had wonderful results. This year I decided to try the Triple Action what a horrible mistake. The cost is more then the Scotts with halts that I used to use. Triple Action did absolutely NOTHING. I actually have more dandelions in my yard then ever before! Don't waste your money!

We apologize for the issues you have encountered with Scotts Turf Builder Triple Action. The lawn must be wet at the time of application for the product to stick to the weed leaves. It must remain there for 24 hours after application. If you would like to speak further about this or hear about our product guarantee, please contact us at http://tinyurl.com/mds8zo5

What am I missing?

Put this on Bermuda sod at the recommended setting with my Scott's drop spreader. Left it a day and a half then irrigated. Have also had several nice rain showers this week. Now a week later the grass looks sickly, yellow brown. Not sure if this is normal? If so then this product is NOT for southern lawns.

We are very sorry for all of the problems you are experiencing with your lawn and we wish we could assist you in identifying the cause. However, without being able to see it firsthand, it is virtually impossible to determine the cause. There are a number of possible causes for the browning/yellowing in your lawn: dog damage, insect damage, fungus/disease, overapplication of a fertilizer/control product, or lack of watering. The browning/yellowing may even be due to two or more these problems aggravating one another. At your earliest convenience, please contact us 1-888-270-3714.
