For listed grassy weeds to be prevented this has to be applied before the target grassy weeds germinate. The lawn must be wet for the product to stick to the broadleaf weed leaves. The product must remain on the weed leaves for 24 hours. After the first 24 hours the product must be watered in, this will help with the prevention of the weeds listed as being prevented such as crabgrass.
