We purchased this Samsung 50" tv to replace our 7 years old Samsung (stll going strong but we wanted to upgrade for Christmas). This new tv is excellent; great sound (rare in a tv), has buttons on back in case you losee the remote (now also rare on a tv); great value and the picture is superb! When viewing a program you feel like you're right in the audience in front of the actors the picture is that clear, vivid and colors so good. I would recommend this tv in a heartbeat. It's also quite a bit lighter than our previous 42" tv!

We recently stayed at one of the premier resorts in the northeast. There were Samsung TVs everywhere. Never having owned a Samsung product or a TV so new, I found it very easy to make adjustments to the set in our room. The sound and picture were great. I promised I would buy a Samsung TV if the need arose. It did last week and so I bought one at the wholesale club. It's a 50" UHD. Absolutely fabulous. It couldn't be easier to set up, the TV does all the work except plug in the cable to my cable box. I also connected our Blu-Ray player (very easy). The Samsung software recognized the units and we were watching it literally within minutes of putting it on it's shelf. If you can read, you can do all necessary points and clicks to set up internet access and all the apps that come with it. There's even an iphone app that allows you to mouse on-screen, and a keyboard and other regular TV functions. Although the sound is very good, I will buy a sound bar as the living room could use it.

Picture is great. Easy setup. The remote recognized my cable provider and interfaced easily. I like the slim design remote. Easy to integrate with Wi-Fi and use the TV web browser. When connecting a Bluetooth speaker I was prompted "Use Bluetooth" every time I turned the TV on. I purchased a digital audio optical to Bluetooth interface so I did not have to answer the "Use Bluetooth" question every time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TV has been one of my best purchases, the picture quality is amazing, and the ease of the smart remote makes navigating the system enjoyable and highlights the features of the TV. It is relatively light compared to similar TVs and the sound is good in a room without a sound bar.

I really like this TV. For the size and features, you get a good deal. The picture is great. I replaced an older non HD TV, and can tell a big difference. I thought I would have to get a sound bar, but in the smaller room this TV is in, it isn't necessary as the sound is fine. I would prefer more input ports. It has 3 HDMI ports, and that's fine if you need to install a cable/satellite box to it and maybe a DVD/Blu Ray player, but if you wanted to install a playstation/Xbox/Wii/etc. and maybe plug a non Bluetooth laptop into it, or use services like Amazon Fire TV or others that use HDMI, then you will have to unplug something or get an HDMI switch.

Getting use to the remote control was a bit awkward. There were no visible single digit numbers on the remote to find channels. We finally found a button with the numbers listed inside the tv. There is no closed caption available which we use a lot. We lost the sound and tried to troubleshoot, but nothing helped, but made it worse, then we lost the picture. I ended up deleting Blue-tooth and had no Managers in the Sound window. So we just unplugged from cable and from outlet and started the initial set-up again. Don't know why sound was lost. The manual we finally got, was not specific about restoring sound. Over all we are enjoying it. After watching a 35 year old TV that just died, this was a real blessing to receive.

We have had this tv for about 2 years now, mounted on wall in our bedroom. Picture is good, sound out of speakers is ok. Wife recently wanted to hook up wireless headphones to be able to watch tv quietly. The Visio tv in the living room accommodates this well with RCA style jacks to hook up all sorts of external sound. This tv...2 1/8" phono jacks in to the tv from external devices but no sound out except a digital interface (who is really using this even now?) and/or by blue tooth. Neither is acceptable as we don't have a digital set of wireless headphones and blue tooth sucks for this kind of setup as it has a huge time delay between video and audio. Wished I'd have known this back when we got it.

These headphones work well for listening to music and talking on the phone. Their quality is not super hi-def for sound quality but you can hear important details. Voices are clear and easily understood and to get better quality you'd need to pay more.

We love the TV, there are a few issues that are a little annoying and haven't figured out how to eliminate them (repeat 'check power' message and now pop up advertisements that are suppose to be of interest to us - that is especially annoying because the TV view is reduced to a small view in the upper right corner. That said we believe there is a way to disengage this and haven't figured out how --- other than that - TV is great, good sound and the picture is just amazing. You won't be disappointed.

Found the initial out of the box picture to be very disappointing knowing Samsungs reputation and my prior purchases. This is my second model 6300 TV, but not at this 70" size. After googling potential fixes/adjustments to the picture I was able to improve the overall picture to good. Being this is a 2016 TV, the picture quality should be great, so I returned it in exchange for a 65" model 9000. I just don't think Samsung has perfected picture quality for it's larger screens, i.e. 70" and larger.
