Okay, but certainly no upgrade.

Honestly disappointed overall. Sound quality and volume were better on my aeropex pair. The bass itself is better I will agree, but at the loss of everything else. Biggest downer is when any notification hits my phone or watch depending what I have them paired to when it returns to music after shortly reducing the volume it stays reduced and you have to switch apps in the phone or force close and reopen to get it back to normal level or repair it again with the Garmin watch. Fit and feel seems same as my previous models. It doesn't hum/vibrate as bad as the original aftershokz but it does do more than the aeropex/openrun.

Loving my OpenRun Pro Mini Headphones! Yeah, Baby!

Got my Mini OpenRun Pro Open-Ear Endurance Wireless Bluetooth Headphones yesterday. Got it on sale. Love it. Great sound quality! Fits perfectly on the back of my head as I lean back in my recliner and listening to podcasts, YouTube videos, etc., as the wife watches TV a couple feet away. Also, great for phone calls and Zoom calls! I have had an OpenRun model of the same style for almost 2 years, also purchased from Sam's. Been very happy with them, but were a little large for listening while reclining. Had to have them replaced twice. Great customer service from Shokz! (Not sure if it was my fault, but they "died" after charging them by plugging the USB cable into my PC beside my desk.) Shokz replaced them with no issues. I have not seen any instructions saying that charging them via a USB cable plugged into a PC would damage Shokz Headphones, but I won't be doing that again.

Fit is great, 90% of time is perfect; on the bike max volume sometimes isn't loud enough

I've really enjoyed my Shokz OpenRun Pros thus far. They fit perfectly and stay in place during running and cycling, they connect seamlessly to my Google Pixel 6, call quality is clear. Two downsides are that even at max volume, I often cannot hear the podcasts or audiobooks I listen to while riding any speed over 15 mph on my bike (which is most of the time). This isn't a complete dealbreaker for me because the only other safe(r) alternative out there are those earbuds that have sound passthrough technologies, but I don't like earbuds that seal off my ear canal, so I'm left with these. Audio quality for music is also not wonderful compared with headphones or most earbuds, but I mostly listen to spoken word stuff, so that isn't a dealbreaker, either.

Quality and comfort.

Quality it top notch. I use it for phone calls, not music. I can wear it all day and pretty much forget I am wearing them. Exceptionally comfortable. Only thing is that because they are open ear, background noise, if loud, can hinder how well you hear a caller.

Open Run Pro mini

I love the mini style they are so much more comfortable than the regular. The battery life and fast charge are great. So far the sound quality is great. Music sounds great. However, I miss being able to quickly dial the last call from my head phones. I would love to have the option of rewinding and fast forwarding 30 sec because I listen audiobooks and podcasts and not a lot of music. I also have trouble with a loud beep when I am using the phone it’s quite obnoxious All and all this is my second pair of headphones from this company and I would by again

Sound is awesome

I really am enjoying the sound produced by my new Shokz OpenRun Pro. The only thing that I wish would be different is the the size of the headphones. I wish they came in 2 different sizes or if they were adjustable around the back of my head. Other than that I love them.

The firmware on these is

The firmware on these is simply put, terrible. Why are they always muting? Why is it making this terrible beeping noise to TELL me I am muted? I can mute on every app and device I pair with. This single "feature" ruins this device for. You user experience is terrible. Give me a way to disable this wretched experience. Please stop automuting. I dont need you to mute. please. stop. muting.

Perfect for training and racing

Absolutely transformed my training, the audio is super crisp and very true sound quality. The build of the headphones is amazing as well, I’m not concerned about them being damaged while riding. My only gripe is a small one and that’s that the button to pause/skip is a little small and hard to push twice to skip while I have gloves on, minor inconvenience at that

I owned a pair of

I owned a pair of the now discontinued Trex Air’s before these. The Open Run’s seem to perform about the same with the two big distances being a magnetic charge port and a redesigned left button. I think most people will like the charge port better. However, I use these in a shop environment so the charger tends to collect metal shavings. Hopefully it has some sort of circuit protection built in. As far as the button goes, time will tell, but it feels like it’s going to wear out quickly. If you don’t push it square in the middle, it hangs up a little bit and makes a clicking sound. Keep in mind that you can’t see this button when you’re trying to push it.

Switched to Mini

I liked my regular size shokz, but found they stuck out too far in back to rest my head in a chair. The regular size also were too tight and hurt my head. I switched to the mini, MY GOSH what a difference! LOVE THEM! no pain, and I'm able to relax in a chair. Love the mini Shokz!
