My baby has a milk protein allergy but I obstain from dairy and continue to breast feed. She still has periods of loose stools and diarrhea so we suppliment with nutramigen an it has done wonders correcting her her stomach problems! It smells a little like dry cat food, but when mixed with breast milk, she hardly knows that it is there.

I was talking to a nurse who suggested that I should try this formula. My baby was a bit colicy and very gassy which I think actually made him colicy due to other formulas. This formula is GREAT. The protein is broken down so much that its almost like breastmilk and it doesnt upset his lil tummy and we have had pretty much the happiest baby ever since we have started with this formula. Stool became a lil loose every once in a while but that was the only down side.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Originally, my daughter was started in regular Enfamil that was given at the hospital. After consistent fussiness, spitting up often and not sleeping well, we made the switch to Gentlese. Unfortunately, that didn't show much of an improvement and after continued colic our pediatrician agreed with our desire to try Nutramigen and we're so glad we did! It has been night and day and our baby girl finally started to be happy - it was like we had a different baby! We're so grateful there were SO many different Enfamil brands we could try - ESPECIALLY that we're all WIC approved!

Our newborn had blood in his stool for a few weeks on the Gentlease and sever gas, our doctor recommended we switch to Nutramigen and within the day we could see the positive effects! He is doing so so well since being on this and sleeps amazingly. Such an amazing product.

My daughter has been in Nutramigen for a week at her Pediatrician's recommendation due to reflux and milk coming up through her nose. Well I haven't really seen the milk come up through her nose anymore like I use too but her diahhrea has not gone away much. Every time I change her diaper she has a bout of diahhrea. When I took her to her Pediatrician, she had already lost 4 ounces while on Enfamil gentleese...Now she's on Nutamigen and the diahhrea has not change by much. Remember, my daughter has only been on this product for a week but looking at the reviews, it seems like this product worked for most kids within. 24 to 48 hours.

My daughter had really bad colic, and was really constipated when I had her on Nestle Good Start, my doctor switched he to Enfamil Nutramigen, and within 24 hours her colic was completely gone, and she was un-constipated. This is the ONLY formula I will use with my daughter, I have been using it since she was 1 week old, and she is now 9 months old. She LOVES it, but it does STINK!! But totally worth using!!!

Got samples from our pediatrician and has already helped so much in just 3 days as a supplement with breast feeding. Baby tolerates well and has been much less gassy and fussy following formula feeds compared to other formulas. Baby gets 2-3 formula feeds a day and doing great!

I have been giving this to my baby since he was 2 month old who is now 5 months. He could not digest any other formula and had an allergic reaction. It was very frustrating until a friend recommended this and believe me to this date my baby is doing ok!

My son started out with a very sensitive tummy. We tried every formula on the market. We lived thru the screaming, gas, bloating, rashes, & all the tests. 4 months later our DR gave us the Nutramigen sample. It was a life saver. His symptoms went away almost immediately. After 4 long months our baby was finally happy and comfortable. He was drinking the older version of Nutramigen without enflora- it has the red #1 for colic on the front label. This formula is awesome for any child with tummy problems! Several times we tried to switch him over to milk and soy based formula, none were tolerated. When he turned a year old we tried to switch him over to milk and the symptoms returned. We tried soy milk with the same outcome. We had him allergy tested and he has protein allergy. The Dr suggested we go back to the Nutramigen for another 6 months then we will try again to see if he outgrown his allergy. We saw the new version in the store & since it was cheaper we decided to give it a try. There is something in there that he could not tolerate. The gas and loose stools returned. We went back to the old version and he was fine. I started freaking out when I saw that the old version was discontinued at every store in town. It is too expensive to really stock up. So I called in to the help line and a very nice and informative rep made a report of the problem. She also advised me that the powder will be available thru the end of 2009. The most exciting thing I found out was that they are not changing the liquid form! It really is not as easy to travel with but at least there is something still available for my child. I really hope that they decide to bring back the powder form. (My child will hopefully not need it for very much longer) but for all the other parents out there living with these problems -this formula might have been the only answer. Dont change a really great product!

My daughter was diagnosed with reflux, but even with medication she would scream at the top of her lungs virtually during all waking hours. She tried 4 different types of Similac and nothing helped her, she got progressively worse. 2 bottles after her doctor put her on Nutramigen she was like an entirely different baby. She didn't fight the bottle, she wasn't screaming or constipated, it was like all our problems disappeared. I LOVE this stuff!
