I love this product. My daughter came home from the hospital the week she was born screaming with colic and her pediatrician put her on this and we haven't had a problem since and she is now 4 months old. The only bad thing is the smell and taste, though she likes it. It also Stains.

Went to the doctor many times and tried many things and nothing worked. Till someone did some milk allergy research and doing this product. I quit nursing and started this right away. Amazing stuff. It really worked. I had a completely different baby. After he turned a year old I introduced cows milk and he did great with it.

Our pediatrician recommended trying this since my son has shown signs of a cow milk intolerance. We've been using it for almost a month and it's helped with his gas and constipation so he's sleeping better and in a better mood. The only downside is he still spits up a lot but it's now a clear water like spit up that results in very wet clothes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We changed to the hypoallergenic formula when my son developed a horrible dairy allergy. His tummy hurt and his skin had dry, painful red patches all over. Our pediatrician suggested this and it has helped so much.

Our newborn suffered a traumatic delivery and spent several days in the NICU. When we were able to take her home, she was traumatized and had her first colic episode....lasting hours. As the days progressed, the episodes got longer. I noticed it was worse after she ate. She would scream and cry for hours... I was breast feeding and supplementing. I was suspicious of the cow milk protein from the beginning, but the doctor didn't think so. I took matters into my own hands at 6 weeks when her colic was peaking, and switched to Nutramegin. It was like a switch wnt off! After about 2 days, she woke up and smiled...no tummy pains, no gas, no constipation...she was comfortable! Also, she had a rash all over her cheeks and neck. The doctor said it was a heat rash...I suspected allergic reaction. That cleared up and she has porcelain skin! She is 10 weeks old and cooing and smiling. Has not had any episodes for about 3 weeks. This saved us... :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Started my baby on this yesterday. He turned 3 months old on Mother's Day. When he was in the hospital after birth they had him on similac sensitive 36o total care. They sent me home with a ton of the RTF bottles and I had some samples similac sent me plus I bought a couple containers of it. Unfortunately, I am on WIC and in my state they will not give out 360 total care versions of similar even with the script from the doctor so they were giving me the regular similac sensitive. Once I used up all the 360 total care kind I switched over and a couple weeks later noticed my baby was pooping straight liquid so I had some similac pro total comfort for protein sensitivity samples so i started him on that and noticed his poo was thickening up but once again WIC doesn't cover the pro so I had to get the regular total comfort once the two sample cans were gone. I'm not sure if that made him start to have diarrhea again but we went to see the pediatrician and she recommended I get a hypoallergenic formula. They gave me some sample cans of the nutramigen and a 6 pack of the RTF bottles. Today is day 2 and he seems to be doing better on it. Only had one poop so far and it wasn't any different but it's only been 24 hours since the switch so fingers crossed this fixes my poor babies diarrhea problem!!

The Similac brand Alumentum is supposed to be comparable but we noticed he had a lot more episodes of reflux with that one. Nutramigen helps him spit up less, sleep better, and relieve gas and poop more easily. Oliver is a much happier baby.
