Lots of brewing options but overall parts seem a bit flimsy for the price compared to my Querig and my old Hamilton Brew Master. It's also a bit noisy while brewing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I got the chance to review the "Ninja Coffee Maker" as a reviewer for the Sparks Program, I high fived myself (?)(!) You see...I am a huge fan of coffee and I probably deink 5-6 cups on a daily basis. I had heard that this "Ninja" was the best thing that happened to coffee making since the ground coffee bean. It is one of the most innovative machines ever made for brewing coffee at home. First of all, it is easy to set up. It uses #4 filters or if you are so inclined, you can buy a permanent one. I also fell for the carafe which resembles a beaker...very cool... Coffee can be brewed in a cup, a travel mug or the carafe. You can save money by brewing exactly as much coffee as you need. It has settings for "classic brewed coffee", "rich brew" and even " iced brewed" coffee. I tell you, it's like having a coffee shop in your home. If you want your coffee to stay hot longer, guess what? There is a function for that, just press the "Stay warm" button and you can program the warming pate to stay warm from 0-4 hours. I know all this sounds highly technical, but this is a very easy machine to use and it has a stylish look. It will change your outlook on how coffee should be brewed...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Ninja coffee brewer comes with a owners guide, quick Starr guide that includes 10 recipes, a sheet that explaines how to clean your ninja, a double sided scoop carafe side and single serve side, and coffee filters to get you started. The Ninja is a beautiful machine. There is a pull down platform for coffee cups folds up for travel mugs and the carafe. On the front is the time also shows pre-heating and timer for cleaning. Below that is a pre-heating button and a delay brew.then a the brew buttons include cup, travel mug, carafe half full and carafe full buttons. Then there is the brew strength buttons regular brew for a smooth brewed coffee, next the rich brew which through itsthermal flavor extraction technology comes out smooth not bitter. I love my coffee strong but it always tastes bitter i am so spoiled now. Then theres the over ice button that give you a great cup of ice coffee without the watered down effect. Last are the stay warm buttons and the clean cycle one. The Ninja brew is so great i highly recomend it. So don't hesitate to go out and get one it's well worth the money

Features: The Ninja Coffee Brewer has auto IQ and is a coffee system that allows you the choice to enjoy coffee in any size. Allows users to program and schedule future coffee brews. Built in Clock My favorite feature is the drip stop feature. I'm very impatient when I make my coffee in a carafe. I don't necessarily want to wait on the whole carafe to brew, with drip stop I'm able to select pause brewing, fill my cup of coffee, then set the carafe back on the warming plate and select resume brewing. Sizes: -cup -travel mug -half carafe -full carafe Brewing Options: -Classic Brew -Rich Brew -Over Ice Brew The options above allow you to choose the preferred type of brew, allowing a more customized coffee drinking experience. My Mom enjoys one cup of coffee that's not very strong. When we prepare her coffee, we select a classic brew, add coffee and filter then pull down the coffee mug stand that's built into the machine to brew her a cup of coffee. My husband and I prefer a stronger coffee and drink about 4-5 cups. When we prepare ours, we select rich brew, add coffee and filter then place the carafe on top of the warming plate and select full carafe. I would definitely recommend this coffee brewer for all coffee drinkers. It's cost effective and you are in full control of how you want your coffee to taste.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To be honest, I might have given a slightly higher rating had the NINJA - 020 been supplied with a "permanent filter", rather than simply a 'single paper filter' ( that's right; ONE paper filter ), with ZERO markings on it... so that we could have readily ascertained exactly which 'sized' filters we would have to buy for the brewing of additional cups, or carafes, of coffee. But, that is not the case, here. For a lousy $9.95 more, they could have included a metal, reusable, easily cleanable "permanent filter"! That omission may not bother some folks, but, WE don't like paper filters... not, the distortion in taste they impart on the brewed coffee, nor, the inconvenience of using and replacing them. In addition to that particular complaint, we found the machine to be rather 'ho-hum'... and not really a pleasure to use, in general. Sure, it comes with a nicely shaped carafe... but, that's about it. The owner's manual is rather sketchy and lacking in clarity when explaining or instructing one on its' various functions and operation. Fortunately, we have rather discerning eyes in our house and were able to figure out, "how to make a 'single' cup of coffee...", Not by following instructions from the 'manual'... but, by noticing a picture on the box, itself. Otherwise, we would still be here trying to decide what that silly little "shelf" that folds down in front of the machine, was to be used for. Another bothersome trait is that this machine does NOT utilize "K-Cups"... a real bummer! This machine is definitely NOT easy, or a pleasure, to use. Also, the carafe is rather on the small size... not very functional when entertaining company in groups of two or more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Setting up this coffee maker was so easy with the enclosed Quick Start Guide. It went very efficiently. The enclosed paper filters were very helpful as I did not have any. I strongly recommend that if yours does not come with a permanent filter that you order one. That way you are always quickly and efficiently ready to brew. The caution steam warning was important as the steam just pours out of the top. I do not think that it would be a good idea to brew under the kitchen cabinets because of that. The included scoop was very easy to use and the proportions were perfect for my brews. There is a time lag so the coffee can go thru what they call a pre-infusion cycle. It is very short and did not extend the process much. The coffee brewer came with directions for the amount of coffee grounds to use and were clearly stated. I found those to be perfect for my brews. The coffee came out bold and rich and full of flavor. The amazing thing for me was the feature of the “over ice brew”. The coffee did not taste watered down at all and it was just as rich and flavorful as the “rich brew”. I highly recommend this coffee maker. It is lightweight and easy to handle as well. The carafe seemed just the right size for our morning coffee and for the card game with the girls. To be honest I am a Spark Reviewer and did not pay for this however I would not hesitate to get one and certainly think it is terrific for gift giving.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our first Ninja product and am quite pleased with the product overall. Please take a moment and read all the instructions prior to it's first use. You need to run two reservoirs of water through the brewer before making your first pot and wash everything. The brewer is heavier than our old brewer and has a very sturdy and solid feel to it. It is around 15 inches tall and 10 inches in depth. The vents over the filter area emit steam, so be cautious with under cabinet installation and keeping your hands from this area. The display is a nice size and easy to read, the display is bright without being harsh on the eyes. I found it very easy to program the brewing time. The reservoir is easy to take out and insert, you can rotate it to different positions to make it easy to fill. We have yet to have a bitter cup of coffee from this unit, we have brewed on Classic and Rich settings and no bitter taste yet. This brewer has the 4 options of container size single cup, travel size, half-carafe and full carafe. The brewer seems a little quieter than our old brewer, the finished signal is not very loud either. The brewer goes through a 3 minute pre-heat cycle or you can bypass this step to start instant brewing. On Classic brew you will get a full carafe on Rich brew it reduces the carafe amount to a little over half a carafe. Some cons for me are: carafe is a little small: we get 5 cups out of it on classic brew. So we have to make two pots of coffee instead of one with our old brewer. Again that is a minor inconvenience. Accessories are a little pricy. You will need a brush to clean the carafe, not a real problem. No auto-stop drip option, you do have a manual slide for this though, but most of us are used to the auto-stop feature on most brewers, so be prepared for this or you will have a mess. Pros: versatile brewing options, we have not tried the ice coffee setting yet, there is a folding arm for single cup brewing. Nice display, lots of indicators on the display for open filter compartment. The warming plate indicator stays on for 15 minutes after you shut the unit off and can be programed for up to 4 hours of use. Easy to disassemble for cleaning. Overall we like it, my wife really likes it. Again take a moment to read the instructions on this brewer before use, it will make your life easier.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I took this coffee pot out of the box I said to myself "Grandma you now have a 21st century coffee pot LOL" This coffee pot looks intimidating to operate from the box but trust me it is not. All the instructions are clearly shown in pictures and wording. The Quick Start Guide will get you up and brewing after (1) you run two full carafe cycles with just water to prime the coffee brewer and then (2) begin brewing in easy steps that are emphasized in a dark green color. First plug it up, press the power button which starts the pre-heat, which flashes about three minutes and when it's ready the time shows. Meanwhile while it's preheating add the water in the reservoir for the size you're going to brew: cup, travel mug, half carafe or full carafe. Insert your filter into the brew basket and then measure your coffee grounds from the provided scooper; it has a big and small size on it. I made a half carafe and used three scoops from the big side. Finally, I chose the classic brew type seeing the brew size and volumes are based on it. The coffee was smooth in taste and I used the same coffee I always use. And it was steaming hot! A few other things to I'd like to mention. The brewer has a "clean" button which has a 60 minute clean cycle, also there are ten recipes which include all the brewing cycles, there is a manual toggle button to drip or stop the drip and finally you can order a permanent filter basket from Ninja. I totally recommend this coffee brewer.

Works great! No complaints. I haven't tried any fancy stuff, just hot coffee and the brew over ice feature.

The delay brew did not work. Now I have to send it back by FEDEX. Will take a while for aa new one. It is a good thing I kept my old coffee pot.
