Convenient

I purchased this booster jumper to avoid jump starting my pickup truck with my car. I use the truck for utility purposes so I don't drive it on a regular bases. Consequently, the battery is dead when I need to use it. This Jump Starter is exactly what I needed. It performed as stated in the description. I am very happy with my purchase.

A must have. Eliminates most road service calls.

Have not used jump start feature as yet. Have used compressor to air up tires, and was well pleased with the results. Was able to do this in about 10 minutes. Took only a few minutes to top off internal battery after use. The emergency light also serves during a power outage at home along with the ability to charge my cell phone.

Excellent Product

I bought this to run a tennis ball server because the battery in the server would only let us play for about an hour. I have used it a dozen times and have only had to recharge it once and I have been able to run the server for a couple hours at a time. Recently, my van wouldn't start and I used it jump it. I thought it might be the battery on my van but this little box jumped it 4x and still has plenty of power. I have also used the air compressor and while it is slow, it still works well. I have used it for balls and bike and lawn mower tires. I like the other features on the product as well. You can plug in a USB and a power inverter to change it to a 120 and then be able to plug in any other cord. While the design is workable, the newer ones have a better design. They are square and easier to carry than this one. I really like the portability and versatility of this unit. It also helps that it was at a great price.

Jumper

This replaced a worn out jumper system. I have used the tire inflatior and it is fine. I have had to use the jumper capability once and it worked as advertised. However, it seems to indicate a need for charge after one or two weeks but only takes one or two hours to charge.

Sturdy item that works well

Item worked well right out of the box. I had a previous model that stood up vertically; so it felt awkward to position at first. It seemed to take awhile to bring the pressure up in a 17" tire but did a good job.

Good deal for the money

I have only used this poduct once to inflate a low tire. It took longer than I expected and when it was finished it had used one third of it's battery. redeeming features USB outlet for chargeing cell phones, tablets and etc. Also has a lighter plug

It works but bad design

I'll start off by saying that the product does work. I jumped a riding lawn mower and my daughter's car and have used the air inflator to air up tires multiple tiimes. The problem is the design is not well thought out at all. The air hose comes out one side and the on off switch is on the other side and since the hose is short it is very hard to get to the on/off switch most of the time. The jumper cables are short too making it difficult to find a place to sit the unit when trying to jump a car. I had a previous Stanley unit that had a much better design but unfortunately that one the battery failed after a couple of years and the air inflator died too. I much preferred the design of the older unit. For the price it's OK it's just awkward to use sometimes.

Has design flaws; cheap plastic

Owned it for less than a year. The air hose is too small - so you have to hold it in weird angles to reach the air valves. The plastic piece at the end of the air hose broke last week. That is the end of life for this Stanley for me as I was primarily using it to fill/top up air in auto and bike tires. I guess I can still use it for jump starting? Previously owned a Campbell Hausfeld portable inflator for a number of years. Had a much better design and build until the battery died after 7-8 years of use.

Good until the compressor valve broke off

I felt that this has been a solid unit, but, as others have indicated, it has some design flaws. The compressor hose itself is too short. When you park your vehicle and the tire stems are anywhere in the 8 to 4 o'clock positions, the compressor hose will not reach. You will need to move your vehicle forward or back to re-position the tire stems The led light is a good idea in theory, but again not useful because you cannot position the unit nor adjust the light. Despite it's shortcomings, I would have given this product 4 stars. However, the compressor hose valve broke off at its base where it attaches to the hose. One of the main functions is useless until I repair the hose. Thus the 1 star rating for poor quality.
