Our 1-1/2 year old grand daughter loved this gift. The house has a working door, windows with shutters and kitchen just her size. She enjoys the phone, mailbox slot and the door bell that really works! We were surprised that she also enjoys climbing through the window onto a safe surfaced floor!!! The molded plastic floor is a clean surface and even allows her to make tapping noises as she walks around. A fun gift for other friends to play inside with her. This will be a favorite place to play and learn to share for many years.

This is light-weight and easy-to-assemble as far as placing the pieces together. The issue I have is that there are bolts to screw in everywhere to ensure the house stays together. The instructions show all you need is a screwdriver to place these; um NO. There aren't even any holes for the screws! You can see where the bolts are supposed to be screwed in because there is a mark where the hole is, however, the holes are not there and you cannot screw the bolts in with just a screwdriver. This made it such a headache. I just have it placed together until I can purchase a power drill or I may try hammering a nail through each hole.

Shipping was very fast. When my son and husband put it together for our two granddaughters we were unhappy to see only one seat inside when the picture showed two seats. Basically we didn't get what we paid for. We decided it wasn't worth disassembling to send back, but disappointed in Wal-Mart.

I bought 2 of these playhouses for my grandsons first birthday. The first one came in and all the parts were there and went up easily. He loved it. Now for the second one. It came in a couple of days later and I was excited because his birthday was the next day. Well to my dissapointment all the parts of the playhouse were there except the screws. I called and I would have to return and wait a couple of weeks for another one. So I went and found screws to put it together. My suggestion is to check before you take it home to make sure all the parts and screws are there.

Purchased this for our grandson for Christmas. It's adorable and we are excited to give it to him. He is only 2 years old but he loves "little places" like this. Walmart was the least expensive for this item by at least $30. Toys R Us wanted much more, even on sale. We used site to store shipping and had it within 7 days. I would highly recommend this product and the Walmart website!

I bought this for my 18mo. twin girls for Christmas. They love ringing the door bell, and I love the fact that they both can sit inside together. I even crawled inside to check it out ! My husband hung pink Christmas lights inside. They got a kick out of that.

Easy to assemble, great colors, size, and all the parts work great, doors open, etc...It is the perfect size for my granddaughters ages 4 and 2 and they spent most of their birthday party playing in their new house. It was the hit of the gathering! They will have many happy hours playing with friends in their new Tidy Cottage! We are so glad we bought this for them!

My son loves his new playhouse! He was so excited when I showed it to him! However, I'm a single mom so I put this together without any help and this required me to use a power drill because there were no holes for the screws! It was more of a hassle to assemble because of that.

I love the cottage and it was a great buy for my 20 mnths twin girls. I wanted somethintg fun for them to play outdoors but not be constantly worrying about getting hurt on it. It is just the right toy for their age as they are growing. The price was reasonable as well. I like step2 products as they are safe toys for chilodren.

If it's properly trimmed in production this is very easy to put together. But ours was not. We didn't want to deal with returning it so we used knifes to puncture through all the spots that should have been trimmed. The roof couldn't even be fully attached because there wasn't even spots for the screws. It's almost like it skipped the last step in production. It's together now and works fine, but to spend that much money and it be a giant hassle is disappointing.
