This was a big expenditure for us and was well worth the money we paid. I hope it lasts a good long time. Although it is a Smart TV, I havent' got it set up to use the internet yet. It will be nice when it is. The 42" screen is a great improvement from the TV we've been using for many years. The picture is clear, large 42" screen is really nice! The sound quality is disappointing, I will probably need to get a home theater system or sound bar to improve it. Money I didn't plan to spend at this time.

The LED backlight takes some getting used to. I was told that it was better than the LCD. I don't doubt that it is more cost efficient and cooler but I'm not real crazy about the way it seems to effect the colors on the television. It took me a long time to get the color and brightness adjusted as opposed to the set with the LCD backlight. Other than that I'm very pleased with the set. VIZIO is a very good brand and they have excellent customer service. I have purchased four of these sets and would purchase this brand again.

I have several smaller Vizio HDTV's which is why I chose this one. It is very light weight 42" TV, easy to move. Picture is great and sound is excellent. Had issues getting cable TV to look satisfactory, but finally figured out the cable box/TV settings combination to make it work.

We had a Sharp before this and returned it because the sound was awful. The sound on the Vizio is surprisingly good for a thin TV. The remote is awesome because you just flip it over and there's a QWERTY keyboard for scrolling and searching on Netflix or YouTube or whatever. The picture is great too. This one won't be going back.

We dont just buy a new TV every year and this one is really nice. We did have one here that the sound came out the back of the TV and you could not hear it properly. had to have it really loud to hear. so took it back and got this one. this one speakers are on the front and is great with surround sound. picture quality is great. 42 inch is a perfect size although my husband liked the 47 inch. Could not be happier.

This is not the first HD TV I own, but it is the first Vizio. I was a bit nervous about the brand but this set has exceeded expectations. Set up was easy, picture quality superb and sound quality is good. I would not hesitate to purchase this brand again. It may actually be the best TV in the house.

Installation and set up was very easy, and a call to Vizio customer support had me up and running in no time. Adjustments are easy for both sound and Video to suit any one's taste. It should be noted that I spent 2 months researching TVs We are very happy with this model .

Excellent television picture and sound. Beautiful shape and light weight. Very satisfied with the television. The Yahoo TV WiFi apps leave something to be desired. Facebook interface is terrible. No links to adult television. Hopefully Yahoo will make some serious upgrades here and open up to the internet. My Android phone offers more entertainment value than the Yahoo TV apps. Yahoo, please spice it up a bit and remember it is "adults" who buy the televisions, so something beyond PG should be offered.

I really like the looks of this tv and sets our living room off nicely. My only issue so far is the day I set it up the remote doesn't work correctly, the volume down button gets stuck and then every button you push turns it down. Have called my local walmart and they said to just bring back the remote and they will exchange just the remote. As always they will try to fix any problem you have without the hassle of re-shipping. I thought I would be able to just surf the Internet like a computer but it is limited to what is already programmed to th tv, great for streaming Netflix and Pandora. Also always a plus when the kids like!

* Color not good - milky & poor flesh tones. Contrast not good. * Remote not intuitive. * Remote too complex. * Coax cable input jack is right up against the back, making it hard to attach cable. * HDMI inputs too close to the side, making it hard to hide the cables from view. (14 years in this field)
