I wish I had known you could only run the motor for three minutes at a time. To be fair, the first thing I tried it for was making mashed potatoes. I cut them in about 1" cubes. Maybe if I had cut them smaller, it would have worked better. The turntable did not spin until the potatoes were partially mashed, and I ended up overworking them. They still had good-sized lumps. One beater goes on the left and one on the right, but I couldn't find any markings to tell me which was which. You can only fill the bowl 2/3 full of the maximum capacity. It's pretty and it has a small footprint and if I figure out that these issues are something I'm doing wrong, I will post that. So far, not impressed. I bought the mixer specifically to make mashed potatoes, so that was disappointing. Live and learn.

When it arrived, I did notice how it was smaller and mire light weight than a typical stand mixer. This could be a good thing it just depends on what you're looking for in a mixer. This does have suction cups on the bottom of the stand, so it sticks to your countertop despite being lightweight. The bowl is smaller than some, at 3 qt vs. a 5 qt bowl. It is easy to remove and can be moved and set in place from front to back with a lever on the side. It comes with two beaters and two dough hooks that seem average in quality. They lock in place pretty well and can be ejected with the button on the top of the mixer. There are 8 speeds to this mixer, and it tilts back for ease in removing the beaters/hooks and getting stuff off the sides of the bowls. I'm not the biggest fan of the retro design. The red and silver "retro" vibe just looks kind of cheap, in my honest opinion. As for functionality, it does state clearly in the manual to not use for longer than 10 mins at a time, because it could overheat the motor. I've never heard of a warning like that on a kitchen appliance. It seems important to know and makes me question the longevity of the product. I also wish it would have come with another bowl . Overall, it seems like a good mixer for someone who doesn't need to bake large portions at a time or for someone who isn't mixing stuff daily. I'd love to update in a year from now to see how well it holds up over time, with wear and tear.

It's easy to run and mix and bake with. It comes with different mixer paddles. I love the black color, it matches all my kitchen appliances.

I compare this appliance to the Kitchen Aid that I used twice at a relatives home: I believe that for more frequent use, this mixer works as well! What I like most is that its both powerful and the biggie! it is as lightweight and portable as I need for it to be. I can imagine it being stowed away in a cupboard when it needs to be. But it is entirely too cute for me to hide away! I recommend it!

I recently got the Dash Everyday Stand Mixer and it's amazing for anyone who loves to multitask in the kitchen. I bought it as a gift to myself before moving into my new house. I got so busy that I hadn’t had a chance to use it so yesterday I Christmas I thought it was a good a time as any to use the mixer for the first time since purchasing it. The day was already rough from the pipes bursting at our studio to the power being off at the house for over 24 hours starting the morning of Christmas Eve. I opened the box to hurry and cook Christmas dinner and save the day and there was no bowl. 😩 perfect color and size but could mix anything.

I was surprised at how light it was, which makes it much easier to move in and out of the cupboard; but I wasn't sure how it would handle kneading dough, and the dough hooks looked too small to do the job. However, I was impressed. The hooks worked very well, and it had no problem with the dough. Having to turn it off to rest every three minutes was annoying, but not seriously. And I really liked the locking bowl and suction cups on the bottom, which kept it in place on the counter while in operation. Very satisfied with my purchase.
