This is my second Tempur-pedic mattress. It's luxurious and I love the cooling feature. We ordered the soft mattress this time because it took so long for the first mattress we had to feel like it formed to us. In spite of that, it's still much more firm than I'd like or that I thought it would feel when trying out in store. We also bought an adjustable base and the seems to help. When the base is bent, the mattress has more give to it.

I had had 2 procedures unsuccessfully done on my back before I purchased my Tempur-Pedic, with a third procedure scheduled. Unwilling to risk a third procedure with the same back breaking mattress in place, I ordered my Tempur-Pedic topper. It arrived days before my next hospital visit, nicely compacted in its box and spread out evenly over my old mattress. Fast forward, I had the procedure done, and I have been sleeping blissfully throughout the night, and I am able to get out of bed without the usual twists, turns, and paid I had been experiencing before my Tempur-Pedic purchase. Thank you so much, Tempur-Pedic.

We are disappointed because our bed feels nothing like the floor sample we laid on. It's way too hard even though we bought the soft mattress. We've been giving it time to break in, but still not satisfied. I wish we would have bought a mattress that could be returned if not satisfied. I never thought the floor model would feel so different. However, I do like the adjustable frame. It helps me sleep better.

After doing a fair amount of research on which mattress would be best for eliminating lower back pain during the night and in the morning, we settled on the TEMPUR-Cloud Elite. We have had it about 3 weeks and the jury is still out on how it will work out. We are experiencing less back pain during the night, but are still stiff and have pain in the morning when we get up (We are in our 70's). Will hang in there and continue to assess.

The mattress has a "break in" period. After this initial period, the mattress is very comfortable. I bought a queen size and I sleep alone, so I need to sleep from one side to the next to break in the mattress. I would definitely recommend a cotton mattress cover to provide a cooler sleep. I expect to love this mattress for a long time to come.

I purchased my Tempur-Cloud Elite with high expectations. I like it but am still waking with muscle aches but not as much. My husband and I share the mattress. We compromise but sometimes I want to get the settings just right to fit my needs through out the night. We thought about getting the split mattress but the cost was a couple of thousand dollars more. I don't know what I am missing about the comfort. Maybe it is psychological. Anywho....Any suggestions that are feasible will be good -_-

We own 2 tempurpedics and have slept on one for 20+ years and the other for 5. They are both the most comfortable mattresses we could find. And we looked. Nothing came close. It is hard to travel, because the mattresses in even the best hotels seem to be filled with corn cobs and straw. On those days when you reach the bed exhausted, there is nothing better than the welcome caress of a tempurpedic mattress.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I noticed I had the most comfortable bed in the world, but started to have the worst back pain in the world. I had never experienced back pain previously, but heard it was likely from my bed. I needed a new bed anyways as mine was getting older so decided to try this one out. Once I bought it and started sleeping in it, my back pain was eliminated and has not come back. Fully recommend to anyone looking to upgrade their bed or get rid of annoying back pains.

I rarely was a back sleeper before my cloud elite because my many spring mattresses never felt exactly right to my back. Side sleeping, however, was a problem because of my big shoulders and the pressure I would eventually feel sleeping that way. On my cloud elite, I now sleep mainly on my back and do not wake-up as much. My sleep has improved. I do feel a little heat sometimes with the mattress not a breeze model (none made for the elite version), but it is not "hot" like my other mattress and not a problem. I looked at the cloud supreme breeze model but felt some pressure points and also felt my back was pushed upward too much. I weigh 195 pounds and I'm 5:10. I also use an adjustable base to sometimes lift my head a little. My wife and I plan on keeping this mattress. We tried the sleep number i8 but found it too firm for us. I am extremely picky about my mattresses.
