This is just ok. It was a replacement for another one exactly like this that broke that I only had for a year this new model. I really don’t like that. You can’t put a tall coffee cup underneath the K-pod. I will just have to see how this one goes…

Too many pieces, too complex to operate. They have developed this coffee maker to be too complex to operate with too many pieces. For instance, our previous single serve did not require a piece to insert the pod into in order to get a cup of coffee. This one requires one which is more work and more cleaning.

I had big expectations with this Cuisinart product, based upon the name, reputation, and my wife's past experience with them. I was quite disappointed when the first one I received wouldn't work like it was supposed to, and I had to return it. I reordered the same exact unit, as it was (providing it worked) exactly what I wanted. It is a very sharp looking and well-made machine. I allowed for a bad one and, this time, wasn't disappointed again. My new unit works extremely well, as designed. I now have a fresh brewed pot of coffee waiting when I get up in the morning. In the meantime, should I want a hot cup, the single serving side is at my disposal. Hot or iced coffee, anytime, wonderful!

I love the convenience of using the one cup feature for daily use, and that i can make 12 cups when i have family or company over for breakfast or just dessert & coffee. Its easy & the coffee is flavorfull. I never found out how to set the clock, but thats ok!

I like this coffee device but give it a 4 star only . The coffee isn’t hot enough when done just warm . and i need to put it in the microwave to heat. Not boiling hot but reasonably hot as coffee should be drunk . So there is where my disappointment lies .

My first coffee maker leaked, then started trying to brew even when it was turned off, then stopped working entirely after two weeks. Luckily we were able to return it and after two weeks the new one is still working, so in a few months maybe I can give it a better review if it keeps working.

I purchased this coffee maker last fall and waited almost to the holidays for it to arrive. I really liked the dual design and how it looked. Within 2 months the coffee pod side stopped pumping water so, I returned it. I figured I got a dud so I ordered the same coffee maker. Two months in and yes, the water stopped pumping on the carafe side. Now I’m convinced this $180 coffee maker has a serious defect.

I bought the SS-16 to replace a 5 year old SS-15 model. This unit has improved upon some of the negative features of the older model. Here are the improvements: 1. Older model would splash all over counter when brewing single serve unless you used a tall travel mug. This model has a flip shelf so that you can use shorter mugs without making a mess or having to hold the cup close to the dispenser while brewing. 2. This model has the single serve and regular brew sides reversed. This allows you to pour water into the regular brew side much easier since the larger reservoir opening is on the right side of the machine. On the older model, the larger opening was just to the left of the single serve side(middle of the machine) making it difficult to pour the water in the reservoir. 3. The needle which punctures the k-cup is cone shaped on the newer model with the water opening toward the back of the needle. On the older model, the needle was a small metal cylinder with a hole in the center. The older model would sometimes split the k-cup and cause the grinds to back up in the unit and make a mess. Hopefully, the design of the newer model has fixed that problem. To date, I have not had a k-cup explosion. This remains to be seen. 4. The warmer plate on the old machine started to rust. I believe this was due to the fact that the carafe would get water between the glass and the top plastic band and this water would slowly drip down the side of the carafe and puddle on the warmer plate. Because the warmer plate was constantly wet, I believe this caused the plate to rust. On the SS-16, I don’t have any water getting between the glass carafe and the top plastic band and dripping down the side. I also don’t plan on washing the carafe in the dishwasher as I don’t know if this could be what caused the older one to leak. I’ve used this pot for over a month. Overall, I like the fact that I can brew a regular pot of coffee or make a single cup using one machine. I like the fact that I am not forced to make a specific number of cups of coffee on the regular brew side. Many combo machines retain water in an internal reservoir and force the user to make a specified number of cups. This machine does not retain any water after brewing. On the regular serve side, you brew as much coffee as there is water in the reservoir. On the single serve side, the water reservoir is removable, so it can be emptied when not in use. Most Keurig machines retain water in an internal reservoir which seems like it can be a breeding ground for mold due to the stagnant water in the machine. I like that this machine does not do that. I make a full pot of coffee almost every day, and if not, I’ll have a few k-cups instead. I hope I can get 5 years of daily usage out of this machine.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. I bought this and set it up. Single serve side would not work at all. Took it back and exchanged it for another one of the same. Set it up and the single serve again wouldn’t even turn on. The full pot side worked no problem. Returned it again, this time for a refund. Don’t waste your money.

This is not my first purchase of this perfect Parker! We have one in our Florida townhouse, and one in our summer house. I have purchased one for my daughter. I have been buying them since they debuted quite a few years ago. This one is an upgraded style, and I love it!
