I have 5 of these shelves and have bought every one of these on sale. I would never pay full price for them as evey single one came damaged. I knew that prior to buying them because I read the reviews. Other than having to accept that they will come damaged they are fairly sturdy and easy to assemble, but any real weight on the particle board shelves and they will bow. -2 stars for having to accept they will be damaged.

Actually this is a pretty decent shelving package for the money I purchased three of these and the last one came without any instructions. It was also poorly packed even though everything was included. If you follow the directions to attach the top half to the bottom half you will go nuts trying to do so. Do yourself a huge favor and use the brackets which are include to do this part of the job. you will have to buy (16) 1/2 " by 1/4" dia. bolts, (16) 1/4" nuts and (16)1/4" hole washers. These are not included in the package, even though they should be. You can then use the bracket to attach the two halves of the shelf and place the shelves at any level you like. Once the job is done in this manner, it's a pretty solid package. Good luck.

I bought 3 of these , assembled them easily and have them on the walls of the garage. Getting the 4' width allowed for tall things to go between the shelves. Use of see through plastic containers that fit the shelf height marked with content name makes organizing easy. They took a few days to get but came undamaged and time.

These shelves are cheaply designed and dangerous! You're supposed to hammer rivets into eyeholes as the only means of connecting a bunch of loose pieces of metal. Even though the rivets keep popping out, I guess I can believe that when it's all together under weight, the rivets will stay in place. But that's not all -- the entire top of half of the shelf sits on four flimsy metal posts, with just one rivet to keep the post from slipping. The entire weight of the post is supported by a tiny 1mm x 1mm contact point. If it slipped at all, the eyehole is facing the wrong direction to keep the rivet in place! I can merely apply a little horizontal pressure with my hand, and the post pops off!

The quality on these are what you would expect the price is exceptional and shipping was great they were easy the only quality issue I have with the wood portion of the shelving corners had damage to them when assembling but other than that they were great easy to assemble

These shelves are a must for organizing a lot of stuff and they're great when you combine them with large totes. If you're the type who doesn't like to get rid of the things that accumulate in your life, you need to start getting some of these shelves. I pick up a couple every time I find them on sale. I'm up to about 12 now.

I like this a lot, read some of the negative reviews, but really have no issues. The box arrived in good shape, all pieces there and nothing damaged. Put together by myself in about an hour, had my wife help me once to hold when connected bottom and top sections. The shelf wood is not the greatest quality, but should be more than enough for what is needed. Plus cost is excellent.

Got these to compliment some I had gotten years before. They are definitely not the same quality. Had them shipped to the house and that was a great help. But these shelves with the ultra thin particle boards that come with them will not hold the weight that the ad says. (2) 50 pound bags of feed broke the bottom shelf right off the bat. But it was easy to assemble but flimsy. Will not order again

This arrived quickly and I was able to put it up in minutes. No feet so it has to be on a very flat surface. I'm not putting super heavy stuff on it, but it does not seem like there will be any issues with the shelves caving in or anything. Pretty sturdy.

The shelves themselves are amazing. Large, sturdy, and can hold a big load. While it's not Wal-Mart's fault (I don't think), the packaging is pretty beat up by the time they get to your door. Each shelf unit weighs around 50lbs and only protected by a thin cardboard package. So some of the shelving (wood, not metal rack) shows up dinged or chipped. Not sure you can do anything other than order them and hope your carrier takes good care of them.
