I purchased mine 3 years ago for about same price. I have it in my shop. After adjusting speaker distance, dbs, etc. When I play a movie or YouTube I can be heard down the block. It is AMAZING. Have not had a single issue with it. I purchased another for my living room and having same great experience. Only draw back. When you lose power you have to readjust everything. No big deal. The base will vibrate a glass of water 30 plus feet away. I replaced a pioneer system and am very happy.

Multiple attempts to connect to my wifi failed. Could not update firmware. Attempted USB update per manual. It too failed to be recognized. USB FAT32 file system was corrupted by unit and had to be "repaired" by my computer before it could be re used.

It is easy to install if you SLOWLY follow the directions. Make sure when you are connecting the speaker wires in the back (red & black connections) you do not insert them all the way. The system is sensitive on how far you put them in. But...once you get them in there just right you are good to go. I suggest you either have a HDMI cord already or purchase one prior to your installation. This is one of the main connection wires we needed to view the set up. Also, please use the sound test when you do the initial set up. This is VERY helpful when adjusting the speakers and also knowing if they all work. Sound is GREAT when all 6 speakers are going. 1 - front right 2 - front left 3 - center speaker 4 - surround right 5 - surround left 6 - sub-woofer You may have to move the wires a little during the test to make sure they are working. Love also that if your TV does not have it already - you can make it a "SmartTV" with Netflix, Hulu, Pandora, etc. from the receiver.

This is the best home theater system I have ever owned. The set up was easy and the features are incredible. It really compliments my 65" curved 4K television. The clarity and richness of the picture when watching a blu-ray disc is something that must be experienced to believe. The sound system is one of the best I have ever heard and makes watching movies like being in an actual movie theater. I highly recommend this to anyone.

So easy to use. Sounds great and it's "Consumer Reports" top rated or one of the top ones. We love Samsung Products!

This Home Theater is so easy to set up and use. It turned my five-year old flatscreen into a smart TV with aps like YouTube, Amazon, Netflix, and others. My Blue-Ray DVD's have never looked or sounded better! I'm so happy with this purchase.

Had high hopes for this home theater from Samsung. The receiver looked like someone had scoured it with steel wool and one of the speaker ports didn't work. It continually skipped out during usage. Came from Walmart through a company called Beach Camera. They made the return easy but I spent 2 hours packing it in the original packaging for the return. Very disappointed.

Got this home audio receiver May 25th and connection and set up was really easy. DVD player does excellent job with both Blueray and regular DVD's. Great sound from speakers for audio and special effects. Just what my 65" Class KS 8500 8 Series Curved 4K SU HDTV needed. Much more enjoyable watching experience now.

Bought this to replace our 10 yr. old 5 Disk DVD/VHS Recorder AM/FM Stereo Home Theater System after it started acting up and not opening the DVD trays (different brand). We have had this new Samsung for a little over a month. This new 2015 model works great, newest technology, 3D / Smart Blu-ray Home system with FM receiver. This up converts DVDs to give a great picture, almost don't have to spend the extra money to rent a BD disk, if you have a 42” TV as we do. It was easy to set-up connection to our home Wi-Fi. Make sure you check for and update the Firmware on the system. We had one update on ours already. The small speakers produce a really great sound for a home system in this price range. The wireless rear speakers are not 100% wireless. You have to plug the rear surround speaker wires into a 110v powered wireless box. Accordingly, if you want those speakers mounted on a wall, as we do, you will see the wires, and be limited to the spacing and placement distance from the 110v powered box. The biggest Dislike I have about this system is that I think Samsung made a design mistake by using Proprietary speaker wire Plugs for connection of the speakers to the main and surround speakers rear unit. They should have used speaker wire spring terminal connectors as they used on all of the speakers – Why use half one type connection & half a different type connection? The spring terminal wire connections are very easy to use – you have to use them anyway on the speakers! This design totally eliminates the use of heavier gauge better wires (included wires are very thin), unless you cut & splice the included wires! This also restricts the distance you can place the speakers from the main unit (wire size / gauge too small) plus the proprietary plugs on one end. Our rear surround speakers were placed on two sides of an open arch / wall span, so the design eliminates the use of my hidden wires for the rear speakers! According, we can't place the new ones there now. Overall I feel this is a good system, would recommend, not sorry I purchased, but just be aware of the above speaker wire complaints that I have.
