It changed the soil consistency in the grass where I used it also. Makes your lawn healthy. I'd highly recommend!

It worked okay, as in the grass grew but slowly and I had to reseed the spot a few more times to get it where I wanted it. We'll have to wait and see if the grass stays put but I have hope.

These seeds have fertilizer with their smart design, so all we did was lightly rake the soil, spread the seeds, and water the lawn daily for a couple weeks. A month later it's still growing in and filling out nicely. Im going to get more to use on the side of our house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I spread Pennington Smart Seed Sun & Shade Mix into a hole in the ground about a foot in diameter in late March 2022 where I pulled out a light post. I added plenty of seed and covered with fresh top soil. I've watered the area consistently and as of May 4, no sprouts have appeared. There were several nights of freezing temperatures in early April so the weather has not been conducive at all for planting grass seed, but because I received this product in early March, I went ahead and tried it out. I'm sure once the sprouts appear it'll be fine, but as of now nothing has grown so I can't say for certain that this product works. I've had good luck with Pennington grass seed in the past so I'm sure it's a fine, quality product, but as of today, no grass yet to be seen. As a result, I can't fully endorse the product to others just yet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We used this to overseed our yard. Last year we planted grass seed on a huge chunk of our new lawn. It came in but it is very patchy we used this to help fill in the patches that were missed by another brand of seed last year that never sprouted. I felt this was a good price for the seed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm impressed with this product. I have a really tough, high traffic spot in my back lawn that doesn't have any grass and won't even grow weeds. This seed is pretty simple to use. The packaging is nice and comes with clear instructions. After about 10 days, I got my first sprouts! I'm a little shocked but excited to see how my lawn fills out. The only changes I would like to see is troubleshooting added to the packaging.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had high hopes when spreading the seed. It wasn't your normal brown grass seed. Instead, it was a blue/green color which was likely the integrated fertilizer. The ground was kept moist, watered daily manually or via rainfall. After a week I still have no sign of growth. It is possible that I will see something soon, but I expected some of the seed to sprout by now based on my experience with other products. I may have planted too early in the season, given that temperatures at night are rather cool, so I may give this brand another chance in the future.
