[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a dead spot on my lawn where a bush had overgrown the lawn and killed it so I tried the Pennington smart seed. After 2 weeks of daily watering , I finally got some grass sprouts but it was not very thick. I'm hoping that it will get thicker or I will add more seed. I have tried other brands (Scotts EZ Seed) and they sprouted quicker and thicker.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have sparse grass under our enormous red maple and have a very hard time grown grass. We put this seed down and have little baby grasses growing now. I'm so happy to have grass growing in the areas that have been dirt for so long!

I see no way to ask a question about this particular seed mix so I'll put it here. For all the sales fluff, not a hint of what the mix of seeds are. This always makes me doubt the quality. Grass mixes can add really bad strains so I want to know! This is a new formula not carried in my store and I have no idea what I would be adding to my existing lawn. Can anyone inform me if you've bought this?

All though it is very early in the season, the seed seems to have germinated very fast and is already growing after only a couple weeks. Normally i buy a competitor, but i might have to change my purchase habits soon
