I will probably begin next month using it. However, I work at a nursery and get asked all the time if we carry this particular brand of grass seed. It seems to be in high demand if so many people are asking for it. I am excited to use it next month and hope it generates the results everyone says it does.

Super easy to spread in a traditional spreader and a little goes a very long way. Saw great results after about two weeks and can't wait to see my lawn in another month. If your new to grass seed or want something really simple to use and maintain this is the seed mix for you!

I used the Smart Seed - Sun and Shade in a small, mostly bare back yard beneath two tall maples and soil riddled with tree roots. Seeded on April 11 in Rhode Island and by April 29th I have pretty good coverage with new grass shoots. I followed the instructions, did some light raking to prep the soil and rake in the new seed, spread a light layer of peat moss, and have watered every day. I have never grown a lawn before and though it would be much more difficult, but so far things are going well. This yard was a complete wreck when I started, but is already looking a whole lot better! For people who are beginners like me, I would also recommend checking out YouTube for more helpful tricks and tips for over-seeding or starting a lawn.

It looks like we have some decent sprouts, but I will say I can't give a full review on until the next four weeks. But for what it's worth, if you're looking for a review now it seems okay.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to get this grass seed to sample since I had a couple of bare spots in the lawn after the winter here in Michigan. I like that this includes fertilizer and requires less watering because I find whenever I patch spots, it's the constant watering that I forget to do. I'm happy to say this grass really did come up quickly and very full and green! I'm not a grass expert so I don't know all the different types but I really like the fine blades of this grass and how soft of feel it has. I'm going to for sure use it this fall to overseer my full lawn!

I am hoping for the best after trying a different brand last year and having the worst spotting of grass growth with low seed germination. Will update after a couple weeks. The packaging is great the bag is heavy duty so you don't have to worry about it ripping. I love how green the grass is that came in!
